Yes. When selecting timeshift recording location I get a list of bookmarks where the cursor sits. To select other physical locations I have to press 'channel +' then navigate to a location. 

I assumed that as the cursor was sitting on a valid bookmark it was ok to select that as the location but it doesn't work that way.

On selecting a physical location after pressing 'channel +' button timeshift works.

It seems that the problem was that I set the timeshift location to a 'bookmark'.  Although the bookmark is valid it doesn't allow timeshift.

"But why do you need permanent timeshift?"

Firstly it ensures that you can rewind or rewatch a program that has already started but has not been recorded.

If you turn the tv on for instance and think that a program is interesting but you missed the start.

Or if you missed a news item because the kids were crying or the dog barking and you want to rewind.

Secondly it takes a minimum of 5 buttons to pause a program instead of one.

So the question is, why wouldn't you want permanent timeshift?

Anyway, should it be there or not? If not that's fine but the options need removing from the menu.

Timeshift should be running automatically not just when the record button is pressed.  That is not timeshifting.

Record button creates a recording, but in the recording folder not timeshift.  The recoding can't be 'timeshifted'.

Clicking Webif pause button gives a symbol in the top right hand corner of the tv screen......attached
