NXP8735E processor receiver support with enigma2 openpli?

19 June 2012 - 19:06

Hi guys

sorry i have posted my post in the wrong section

here is the deal, in our country recently a manufacturer started producing this kind of receiver a different brand with this processor NXP8735E, i have analized the nxprom.bin 50mb that is available at the company website, and i have noticed that the firmware is linux

it contains data about linux kernel, vmlinux.bin , and a few other things i have detected, such as the stb2036 tunner and few other.

this receiver i believe is pretty much the same as the receiver sold in europe recently dreamsky-nxp256hd which contains alot of new functions and new firmwares.

but this receiver comes with manufacturer original firmware, which is ugly and very few functions

just wheather forecast, internet radio and youtube at the moment...

so my question is , does openpli support this kind of receivers? do they work with enigma2 , if so how can i make some tests and compile in my ubuntu.

i have tried upgrading a firmware form other model mentioned it seems to start upgrading fine via usb but afterwords it just reboots with same original firmware, maybe firmwares have different bootloader version.

i have also analized that my recveiver does not have serial com port, but after opening the receiver casing i have detected the 3 pin conector rx,txt, gnd inside so i believe is just a matter of buying a com port adapter to plug it in and make some testings..

so my question again is is there any support for enigma2 and openpli for this kind of receivers with this procesor?

as i have 128mb flash and 256mb ram , so i believe it could fit in a new firmware with extra functions.

So any comments will be appreciated, as some SDK would be welcome.

PS. - Great forum you guys have here.
