Thanks Henksat, I just wonder in that case how they were able to initially set it all up ?

As the box was working fine until recently until the CS he was sold with it expired

Looks as thought I may have to flash it with a less attractive image unless someone has any other suggestions ?

On that image, should pressing the MENU button bring up the option for Communications setup ?

The menu button is doing nothing, I have tried two different remote controls too

Can someone please confirm which image this is, and any pointers they may have to get at the communications settings

Thanks

Dont worry, I dont want to get to much into the dialogue on the Card Sharing side of things I think that I know what to do it I can get into the config files, its just getting there causing an issue

If I am being honest unfortunately the box is a clone (Eagle 1000s) which I understand are not supported here but I just didnt know where else to start and I assume the answers are the same - although the quality of the boxes are obviously inferior.

"You can try this by pushing the menu button firmly"
I have tried two remotes and got the same result I am afraid

"You can use the option search with DCC. Then DCC looks for the Ipadres of boxes in the network assuming that dhcp is active in the network and activated on the STB"
I know some start 192.168.0.x and some 192.168.2.x - would I able to search both or just the one that my router / PC is on??

If I could upload a couple of pictures of the image would you please confirm that it is the image you mentioned that I am running ???

Thanks for answering anyway and any more feedback would be very gratefully recieved
