A fta receiver is designed to view satellite and tv channels. Yes, it can be used for other things, but there are not many resources available in any fta consumer type receiver.

Is wireguard recipe missing in the scarthgap branch?

Sooner or later, they will fix it. I tried to build wireguard and ran into similar problems. And I also deleted it for now.

Simply read what you have posted in the error log. The checksum is incorrect and needs to be changed. Both old and new checksums are listed in the log you provided. Find the proper bitbake (.bb) file for wireguard and carefully edit the checksums. Then rebuild and it should work. I don't know where the wireguard .bb file is in the build or else I would point you to its location.
