That build (w-scan-cpp) is going to depend on VDR, which will be difficult to install in enigma2 image. My suggestion is to forget about this particular w-scan-cpp build.

Drivers too old, Octagon has been asked repeatedly to address this, but sofar no response. OE-A images have the same outdated drivers, so they will bump into this as well, some time in the future.
 
The workaround for the moment is to download http://downloads.ope...ko-20240306.zip, extract the files "hi-dvb.ko", "hi_pmoc.ko" and "vtunerc.ko", copy these to /lib/modules/4.4.35/extra/ on the box, and reboot.

Of course Octagon needs to fix the problem, but I found the Old 2018 hi_pmoc.ko from the GigaBlue Trio also solves the screen problem in my SF8008. So it doesn't seem the age (new or old) makes the difference.

I guess my real question would be: Does it work correctly on other receiver(s) besides the SF8008?

There is actually ONE satellite TV channel in North America that has audio out of sync bad enough to notice it. Hence the attempt to use the audiosync plugin which does not work even after the crash is fixed. As far as I am concerned, you could remove about 90 percent of the plugins as I do not need or use them personally.  The only reason I bothered to say anything about audiosync not working is this in post #1 of this thread: please let us know if there are any issues,
