After I followed pcd instructions and did the following in Telnet "init 4" and " init 3 > /tmp/e.log 2>&1 &" and went to run an addon it did created e.log file but it was empty!. None of the addons are working and when I press ok to run an addon such as Filmon or Icefilms nothing is happening, very strange.

First of all thank you for replying to my question.

 

I've telnet the box with the following command init 4 && killall -9 enigma2 && enigma2>/tmp/e.log 2>&1 &  "killall: enigma2: no process killed" but the box was killed so I restarted it and tried to play the filmon I can see the wheels turning at the top left corner but in the tmp folder I could only find the attached . :angry:

I'm good when it comes to to play around xbmc on pc or on an android box but the same can't be said when it comes to the VU+. I've spent hours reading all posts about xbmx addons so I thought I know it all and I gave it a go but as the title states I can't get a single addon to work.
 
My setup is VU+ solo with a large external hard drive, OPenPLi v4 as image.
 
The following is what I did so far.
 
I've installed the latest xbmc through the TS panel and installed some addons mainly sportdevil, icefilms and filmon. Before I installed the scripts when I tried to run an addon I was getting script errors such " script.common.plugin.cache" & "script.module,t0mm0.common" as I presumed that this will happen so I've downloaded all scripts that are available on the TS panel and also I've pressed the yellow button "software" and installed the "locale.v2.zip", and all the files under ### for openpli-4### rebooted a million time but I had no luck. When I press on any addon nothing is happening.
 
Can someone tell what I did wrong or maybe point me to a step by step tutorial?
