#590143 Frage zum Common Interface Assignment

Posted by Lost in Space on 18 September 2016 - 19:42

#589531 Install Debian or FreeBSD mipsel os on DM8000 ?

Posted by Lost in Space on 17 September 2016 - 07:51

I'm sorry, I forgot that you can only read the latest englisch BA documentation which really is 6.0.6, because only the German one was updated until 7.8

But for the BA Debian part this hardly makes a difference.

Anway, in OoZooN's board there is also a documentation section with a BA thread where these guides are ppsted, so there is no need to ask.

And it is not about good or bad songs ...

Have fun with Debian on your Dreambox and as I already explained, if you want to see how it is done check the shellscript or run it with -x so that you see the debug output.

#589492 Install Debian or FreeBSD mipsel os on DM8000 ?

Posted by Lost in Space on 16 September 2016 - 22:49

First this is NOT the latest Documentation

Second PLi is NOT supporting Multiboot, and gutemine is NOT supporting PLi, so they will NOT enjoy when you post here these things.

Third BA for OE 2.0 has a kit and support thread in OoZooN's board which is now closed because there is no support or new kit anymore, despite that it is still fully working and you can even unpack and boot PLi Images on the BA device, but NOT have them in Flash..

Fourth READ the documentation which clearly says that you specify in telnet ba.sh extract IMAGENAME and not any imagepath.

Last gutemine doesn't need ANY songs!

PS: It is Debian NOT Debina, Debinan, etc ... and NO support means NO support. If you WANT support buy a recent DreamOS Dreambox or live without it.

Barry Allen has a kit and support thread in OoZooN's board, but the thread is closed because the development of BA for OE 2.0 is stopped.

But there you find a fully working BA 11.93 Kit. BAXII (BA 12.0) is the DreamOS only Version for the new Dreamboxes dm7080/820/520 and has also a fully working Debian installation and boot option and is continuously developed and supported - it can even boot Open* Images nicely despite that they are not supported.

If you prefer patched stuff for clones ... not my business.

The question was if and how to install a normal distribution on a Dreambox. If you look at the ba.sh shellscript you can see how this works with the normal standard debian bootstrap script for a network install. You can easily do this also standalone, and emanuel I think even offers such a Plugin in iHAD Board.

BA just has the added value to execute it and allow to boot it from the stick alternatively to the Flash image or enter it in a chroot with ba.sh chroot imagename.

But as PLi is not supporting Multiboot and gutemine doesn't support PLi anymore you are on your own.

#557348 DM7020 H V2 images

Posted by Lost in Space on 4 July 2016 - 20:53

well, the answer is correct, but there are 3 alternative ones:

1) Use Other Open* Images based on PLi git

2) Ask a fried with a v1 to use the switch boxtype Feature in dFlash 13.7 to produce you a v2 image as a backup of his box

3) Use Barry Allen 11.93 to extract and boot the v1 image on the v2 from USB and as a bonus you can have recent loader and drivers from an up-to-date DMM OE 2.0 experimental image in Flash

Posted by Lost in Space on 19 June 2016 - 11:53

People reported some crashes with AutoPin Plugin in their Open* Images, these should be now fixed in Version 3.4-r6 of AutoPin Plugin. I offers also a much more sophisticated CI message surpression, and a CI timer conflict check and enhanced CI assignment to support such virtual CI modules. Sorry for ignoring all your patches which partly offer this functionality, but AutoPin doesn't need them and I'm not willing to modify it further beyond fixing the crashes..

One of my Barry Allen Plugin testers now also reported that he installed latest OpenPLI Image on his 7020hd (was even a v2, but with BA the v1 image works nicely) and confirmed that even this combination works, because the recent DMM Image in Flash provides the latest drivers.

But this is the Maximum I can do for you, so that you can continue testing.

If you want a fully working CI helper on you image for the 7020hd Dreambox, then I think you would need to support the additional /var/run/ca sockets as the DMM Images offer, to have 2 extra camd sockets for them to connect independently.

Have fun

The latest AutoPin ipk will probably install but it will NOT work.

Bu the he code shows how to rename the 3 relevant MMISocket routines with your own ones that depending on the PIN settings reply automatically with a PIN or surpress the CI Messages without putting this into enigma2 code.

Hence it proves that you can do this nicely from a plugin with very limited code.

Therefore you can use the plugin for inspiration but I will NOT adapt it to your needs - help yourself

#547134 Using Rytec XMLTV for SKYUK instead of Cross EPG OpenTV

Posted by Lost in Space on 10 May 2016 - 20:19

The CrossEPG binaries aren NOT very good in handling complex SAT setups, therefore I added the zapping to the servicereference of the Transponder which is briadcasting the EPG Data in the Plugin.

BUT this means it will only work for simple DiseqC 1.0 A/B(and maybe C/D) switching like I have also in my own configuration, If you have a complex setup like a rotor for the dish you will need to swtch to another channel on the needed SAT before doing the EPG download in Plugin, so that it only needs to change tuning to the relevant Transponder (a Radio one in case of Sky UK), but it will not do any complex DiseqC 1,1 switching or Rotor movements. Especialyl if you have different setups for multiple tuners this is a source of suffering (but the behaviour is the same for CrossEPG). At then moment also demux1 on non-DreamOS is hardcoded, which means the FIRST tuner of the box should be able to receive the SAT position you need fpr loading the EPG or it wil lfail because it cann't tune and hence can't download.

I hope this explaination helps.

This is what testing is all about ...

#547027 Using Rytec XMLTV for SKYUK instead of Cross EPG OpenTV

Posted by Lost in Space on 9 May 2016 - 23:20

Just regarding your log - you are using the load epg.dat setting to yes, this is mainly for OE 2.0 Dreambox images, as this is the only way they support to get external EPG. OpenATV and OpenPLi based images includes the Oudeis Patch which allows to load EPG event data directly into running enigma2, so this settings is not needed and should not be used.

I added this settings mainly to be able to test and debug this variant of EPG loading too, but normally it is set to false and should stay that way. This is probably the reason why your load works sometime and sometimes not.

PS: On OE 2.0 Images or Images without Oudeis patch this settings is always yes and not even shown, because epg.dat loading is there the only choice. And off course on DreamOS this setting is not available either, as it is useless when you can load into the epg.db database.

#546912 Using Rytec XMLTV for SKYUK instead of Cross EPG OpenTV

Posted by Lost in Space on 9 May 2016 - 11:14

For support of the plugin you have to ask in OoZooN or DMM board as this is here the Rytec section. But download failed typically happens when you satellites.xml has 28.2 and you load with 28.4 profile or vice versa. Simply try the other one and it will work.

And the ipk should work also with PLi images.
