That seems to be an issue with a different authentication mechanism in newer drivers. If you do a mount on the commandline, and add "sec=ntlm" to the options, the share does mount.

Enigma currently doesn't have support for this feature, so this will not be solved overnight I'm afraid.

What exactly works, and what doesn't (i.e. from where to where)?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

OpenPli on the vuduo+ has major problems at the moment.

Read other posts in this forum.

I would go back to Vix for the moment.

If you do a mount on the commandline, and add "sec=ntlm" to the options, the share does mount.

Sorry .. But I do not know where or how to do that

You will have to use telnet to login to the box from your PC:

telnet <ip-address>

once logged in with user 'root', you use the command

mkdir /media/cifs
mount -t cifs //<server-ip>/<share> /media/cifs -o sec=ntlm,username=<username>,password=<password>

and it should mount without problems.

Have tried in many ways now

I.m not so good in this :(

vuduo login: root

root@vuduo:~#

root@vuduo:~# [6nmkdir /media/cifs

mkdir: can't create directory '/media/cifs': File exists

root@vuduo:~# mount -t cifs //<192.168.0.111>/<Download@NAS> /media/cifs -o s

ec=ntlm

-sh: can't open 192.168.0.111: no such file

root@vuduo:~#

The shell chokes on the '<' and '>'. Is the share really called '<Download@NAS>'? Then you should use quotes. Also type everything on one line, like this:

mount -t cifs -o sec=ntlm '//192.168.0.111/<Download@NAS>' /media/cifs

without the < and >... ;)

Thanks for the feedback. We're trying to find a way to solve this issue so the workaround is no longer needed.

I have no success. Maybe its the share name that is wrong. But I have take it from what I can see if I do it in the VU menu

After the update of this morning the media/cifs folder was deleted. Now I have put the mount in the media/net folder and I made a subdirectory in the media/net folder in order to be able to mount more than one box. Originally the mounts were also in media/net.
