For a few days now I have had no EPG updates, when I manually download nothing happens.

Please check if there is a problem with the servers hosting the epg data.

This is for UK XMLTV.  I have tried XMLTV and XEPGDB providers, neither of them will download.   :(

Thanks for your continued support in this service so far, I hope it never dies :)

Sorry, please ignore or delete this topic, I updated servers and got the new ones now it works :)

I guess I should do this more often!

Updated how? I experience same issue, 0 data. Others work, such as epg for Sweden. But I can't get epg for UK.

I think this is an error on rytec. When I try to download rytec.channels.xmlt.gz error appears: 403 forbidden.

The website:  http://enigma2.world-of-satellite.com

is down.

But we have 4 different websites for this reason.  A normal XMLTV importer would take simply (automatically) one of the others when one website is down.

But if you are using alternatives, this could be not implemented.

I'm using the normal XML EPG importer plugin, but for both Benelux and UK, nothing is imported.  Have updated the rytec.sources.xml file, but it made no difference.  What else can I try?

I had the same problem, do not know why

But I de-installed rytec-import and epgimport plugins , restarted the box, en installed rytec-imprt it again.

It's working for me again.

I tried Linuxsat ExUSSR XMLTV source, and this loads, so to the untrained eye it just looks like the Benelux/UK (and some other sources) are unavailable.  Hope it sorted soon...

This morning again no import.

It looks like there is no retry on alternative sources?

I can't say anything about the others, but I checked my server, and everything is ok there.

Upload happens every morning, all files are there, the UK file downloads fine, and contains almost 40Mb of XML data...

Your  log shows the alternative works fine (it downloads from the sifteam server)?

Edit: just checked here, I had full updates (160K+ events) at 8:41 this morning. I see two hosts not responding in the logs, world-of-sattelite and ebook-directory.net. In both cases an alternative is used.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

There is an error with this:

    <url>http://enigma2.world...rytecxmltvuk.gz</url>

Not only the UK file.  But the complete website is down.

And indeed this error plays havoc with the import.

The solution is to delete all references to http://enigma2.world...e.com/epg_data/ in the rytec.sources file in /etc/epgimport/

Or

Download the attached file, Unzip and copy the rytec.sources.xml file to /etc/epgimport/

Willy

PS: will try to revive the http://enigma2.world...e.com/epg_data/ website, but this could take a while.

It is more a workaround.  The real solution is get the website up and running.  But this is not under my control.  I have to contact other people for this (is done).  But no result yet.
