Hi! I have mounted SD-card 32Gb (via usb cardreader) as hdd (fstab has a string -> /dev/sda1 /media/hdd auto auto 0 0). In the main menu item is added, "Hard Drive". I go to HDD settings  and choosing settings "No standby" (5 min default). But after some time when the receiver was turned on and when I type the command "df -h" I see that there is no hdd. And in the main menu an item "Hard Drive" is now out. I do not know how much time does it take for this - yesterday in the morning I turned on the receiver and only in the evening I checked it. The receiver was turned on all the time. How to fix it? Is necessary that hdd did not fall asleep. To be able to record or use timeshift function anytime. Thanks!

P.S.: OpenPLi4 V3a, 02.09.2013

Sleep is unrelated to being mounted. The problem is that the device disappeared, sleep or standby has nothing to do with that. When a disk goes to sleep, it will wake up when accessed. Yours did not.

It has nothing to do with the hdd standby settings. Execute dmesg command in telnet when the problem occurs the next time and post it here.

By the way: Openpli 4 v3a? What's that? Never heard of v3a. What receiver do you have?

This is repeated again. The receiver was powered on for about 8 hours. V3a - it is ferrari v3a image. My receiver is called Cloud Ibox

He is clone of Vu+ Solo.

On their forum was told to contact you. Be patient and supportive, please. After all, I have installed Openpli and it works fine.

OpenPLi does not provide images for clones so you have not installed a real OpenPLi. You must seek support somewhere else.

When I installed OpenPLi 4 from your website (18.08.2013), it was the same.

Your dmesg output looks strange. It includes E2 output. On my box I don't see that. There's nothing included regarding the disk.

It could be that the "stolen" drivers don't be 100% compatible to your hardware and this causes the problems. This is one reason why this forum don't supports clone boxes.
