Hello, i discovered some bugs and hope you can fix it! ;)

Tested on VU+ Ultimo with newest openpli 4.

Bug1:

Scam not working because of missing lib.

If installing scam it should also install automatically "libcrypto-compat".

Bug2:

Not really a bug, but maybe the GUI should be restarted after installing a plugin. Or maybe ask the user if GUI should restart now.

Bug3:

Also not really a bug, more an eye candy: Plugin "enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-vuplus-ventilatorcontrole" missing translations. I think its only Netherlands.

Bug4:

Plugin "fpga upgrade" shows "Missing file" if you want to download.

Bug5:

This is a very important bug i think. After installing "sherlock 5.1" the FAN is not working!!! The box gets very hot (about 50 degrees) and overheat! This result in pixeling. :(

Maybe someone can thes this on other boxes, but as i remember the same happen on VU+ uno (but not 100% sure).

Install older libssl... Not a real bug.

Yes sure, but why is it not installed automatically if you install scam? Don't know the name in english, but i think it's called "package dependencies". If you select scam to install, it should automatically install "libcrypto-compat".

In the startup wizzard you can select which cam should be installed, if you select scam, this will never work automatically (because of missing lib). So i think it is a bug ;) Or maybe not a bug, but not user friendly B)

Correct. There is a 3rd-party feed, which contains ipk's with binaries created by (as the name implies) 3rd-parties.

Which are there because we don't create them, we can't create them (because we don't have the source), or we don't want them in our feeds. But groups of users seem to want to install them at their own risk.

So they are present with "warranty till you get to the front door" as they say over here... ;)

Not really a bug, but maybe the GUI should be restarted after installing a plugin. Or maybe ask the user if GUI should restart now.

Why on earth would you want to do that?

Seems to me like a problem of the plugin, not of the GUI  ?

If a plugin requires a restart to work, the plugin is broken.

Ah ok. I thought E2 needs to be restartet after a plugin is installed. But it's nice if it works without E2 restart!

Whatever gave you that idea?

Next, you're going to ask to reboot to plugin a WiFi stick or keyboard...

To which the answer is the same, no reboot needed if you plug in stuff.

The only exceptions to the "you never need to reboot" rule are USB DVB sticks, they do need a reboot, due to the way the tuners are detected at startup only.

On other images (VTi for example) it asks you after plugin install if you like to reboot the GUI.

Why?

I have found some new bugs:

1. Cosmetic: If i press the blue button i see "Fokus auf Bild in Bild legen" (red button) but PiP is not active. This should only be shown when PiP is active i think.

2. Very ugly: If a NFS-Share is mounted, recording to internal disk is not working! :o It shows a message something like "Switching to the channel" or something, but recording is not starting. Same message appears  if no disk is attached. I have a VU+ Ultimo with 2 DVB-C tuners. After unmounting the NFS-Share it works as it should.

Can you please check this?

THX alot. :)

1. This is done by purpose... this activates PiP and put the focus on it at once... It saves you in pressing blue-blue, then blue-red.

2. I cannot verify this... maybe the recording should go to the NFS-Share and there is something wrong with the NFS-share...
