Can anyone guide me which image is best to load the dreambox dm800hd pvr to replace the dream-elite so I can have the iptv in the receiver?

are you talking about DM800, without SE (second edition), here you can get only OpenPLi 2.1, rather old

Feeds are not working on MastaG images. Support for it is discontinued.

if you have IE you have to save .nfi files with "save as", otherweise IE will just show them as text

No, the feeds are not maintained anymore, a downloadlink is not the same as a feed, so after installing the nfi, you'll have to install the plugins by hand.
