That should be part of the skin, so perhaps discuss that with the skin creator ?

I thought it will be skin part , when said to skin creator not sure he knew what part of the skin. I had quick look on openpli default skin but I couldn't not see any code for this wizard. Please can you give me idea what will be exact code , and where should be added this code many thanks.

I have no idea, I'm not a skin designer. Not even a real developer, so no idea where to start looking.

The skin should have a skin.xml (and maybe other xml's) which should define the startup wizard screens, and that should in turn provide a reference to which image it is supposed to load.

But if the creator doesn't know that, I'm not sure I would want that skin on my box...

No idea, nothing has changed to the recipe in 2 years, and neither has the repo.

Perhaps a bitbake cleanall will fix it?

You forgot to set the machine name:

MACHINE=<yourmachinehere> bitbake -c cleanall enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-serviceapp

like you do when you make the image or the feed.

Damn, I checked that commit in scarthgap. Don't tell me Develop is still running the defunct distutils and not setuptools.

9.x is based on Hardknott, so so is develop, until scarthgap is promoted to develop.

Ok, well https://github.com/O...-core/pull/1266 should work on both. I tested it on "develop" and it worked here.

Merged.

And thanks, didn't have time to look into it further, thanks to that ^&%**&^$^$% opkg "quirk" that f'd up the 9.1-release update.

If VIX uses the same opkg class as we do, changes are you have the issue to, and it's waiting for the bom to explode.

The root cause of the problem is this: https://github.com/O...ts/Opkg.py#L142, which given the age of the code, is probably in every image.

Haven't fixed it yet, the fix is going to be quite complicated, as currently it just slaps "--add-dest" to any opkg command executed in the opkg class, and this has to go.

Instead, "--add-dest" needs to be added to specific installs when the user selects an alternative location (currently only implemented for picons), and for opkg update, I don't know the solution yet. Maybe run "opkg upgrade" first, then run it again for every destination found?

Also, not sure my Python skills are up to scratch, so I'd like to discuss it first, maybe others have better solutions.
