The PO file says

"PO-Revision-Date: 2024-05-21 12:56+0200\n"
"Last-Translator: Gringo <openpli @ tiscali.it>\n"
"Language-Team: www.linsat.net <spaeleus @ croci.org>\n"

The one highlighted in the image is wrong.

If you say so, your Italian is 1000 times better than mine ;). I haven't spoken any in almost 25 years, when I was working for Alcatel (formerly ITT) in Vimercate (near Monza).

I have a backup of 8.3 in slot 1 and it doesn't happen!

I wouldn't have been able to go to bed if I hadn't tried and since I didn't want to take my laptop I did everything from my mobile phone. The translation was done correctly but in my opinion there is still a problem and that is the string highlighted by WanWizard should be eliminated because the translated part is first and then the other one, it's a duplicate.

There is always default registration in English, it should be removed.

The Italian translation needs revision. But it seems, there is no volunteer willing to do it.

In your opinion, only one message should be displayed when the recording starts?

The first message informs you if the selected recording time could be set. (There could be conflicts with other recordings, etc.)

The second one shows you that the recording has actually started. This message can be suppressed by an option in the configuration menu.
Record -> Show message when recording starts (Registrazioni -> Mostrare un messagio all'avvio della registrazione)

I'm not a newbie I know very well what I'm doing.
If I uncheck the show on record current event nothing appears and it starts recording, but the problem is not basically this but the question is, why on 8.3 it was perfect and on 9 not?
To solve the error because otherwise the next one will bring it back!

OK, sorry...

In fact it's not an error. Instant recording has been redesigned in PLi9.

But you're right, if no timer conflict or other obstacles for starting the recording are detected, then the first message could be omitted.

I'm a bit lost here. I thought the issue was about a message not being translated, but now it is about the (sequence of) messages being displayed?

There is always default registration in English, it should be removed.

Default registration? your screenshot shows Default duration

If you mean Default duration

Change line #2698 msgstr "Durata predefinita: %d minuti" (%d minuti is not python-format)
https://github.com/O...2696C1-L2698C39

#, python-format
msgid "Default duration: %d mins"
msgstr "Durata predefinita: %d mins"

mins is translated separately    https://github.com/O...413C1-L12414C13

msgid "mins"
msgstr "minuti"

Some other translated things (if translation corrected) #, fuzzy line needs to be removed to show translation
