According to the website, it uses an MT7601U chipset.

Which suggests you need to install the packages "kernel-module-mt7601u" and "firmware-mt7601u":

root@sf8008:~# opkg list | grep 7601
firmware-mt7601u - 1.1+git296+4b2b151-r0.1 - firmware-mt7601u version 1.1+gitAUTOINC+4b2b151e18-r0
kernel-module-mt7601u-4.4.35 - 4.4.35-r1.4 - mt7601u kernel module

and restart the box after you've done so.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

same problem indeed, what a bloody pain.

What I don't understand is that it complains about /etc/Wireless/MT7601U/MT7601U.dat being missing, while it is absolutely installed in the package. It seems to be in a different package, so you might have to install that too:

opkg install kernel-module-mt7601usta

and probably this one as well

opkg install kernel-module-mt7601usta-4.1.45-1.17

Glad you see the fun of it.

For the last one, I looked in the wrong directory (zero, not uno4kse),

[root@openpli-nas openpli-9-release]# ls -l vuuno4kse/ | grep 7601
-rw-r--r--. 1 1002 1002 311026 Oct 8 17:44 kernel-module-mt7601usta-4.1.20-1.9_3.0.0.4-r0.0_vuuno4kse.ipk
-rw-r--r--. 1 1002 1002 702 Oct 8 17:44 kernel-module-mt7601usta-dbg_3.0.0.4-r0.0_vuuno4kse.ipk
-rw-r--r--. 1 1002 1002 756 Oct 8 17:44 kernel-module-mt7601usta-dev_3.0.0.4-r0.0_vuuno4kse.ipk

and the missing .dat file mentioned in your log is in the last file.

Does your box have /etc/Wireless/MT7601U/MT7601U.dat ?

No, the question was if thet specific file exists on your box.

Do you want to discuss on 5 pages without result as you have done before?">You didn't understand.

Let's stop here.

There is no solution for now.

MT7601 is a strange chipset.

It works fine on my Zgemma h8.2h out-of-the-box.

With Xtrend et7100 V2 it crashes the kernel.
