Hi guys! i'v a dreambox 800 hd pvr, with latest enigma2 jade3 pli-image in...

All seems to run ok (skins with picons, my internal sata 40gb, CCcam, etc. so all what i'v before asked for here...)

Now i'm trying to copy a 10 Gb .ts video file i've recorded (HD ones :-)) to a 16 gb usb stick (TDK Transit). I've formatted the stick as NTFS because FAT32 dont lets me write files bigger than 4gb.

Where's the usb when i plugit? I'v tried into /media/usb but i can see /usr/lib that is not into the usb stick. The stick is well recognized by the dreambox because i can see it at Menu, Configuration, System, Hard disk, but i want to access from the console (to do a copy with "cp" command). I'v tried with some filemanagers plugins, they detect the usb stick as Low USB connector or something like this, but i cannot copy anything in it, i got an error.

When I plug the usb stick in the low usb conenctor, I can see that in /dev it appears now a /dev/disc1@ that points to: /dev/scsi/host1/bus0/target0/lun0

If i try to mount it (mount -t ntfs /dev/scsi/host1/bus0/target0/lun0/part1 /media/usb) it says "No such device" ¿?¿?

And now, if NTFS is not valid, how can i grab a gb recorder .ts file into a FAT32 usb stick? or have i to use ext3? is ext3 format visible from Windows? i want to share this usb stick with Windows XP or 7 PCs.

If anyone can help me, thnx in advance! regards!!

why not ftp it off your DM800 to one of your XP boxes via the LAN?

it's faster to copy it in an USB, and i can carry it to another XP box out of my LAN :-)

So, i've tried many times and I think i've to use FAT32...

BTW: someone know how to 'part' a file in the dreambox into many files, and then join them into windows?

thnx! cheers!

root@dm800 ~ # cat /proc/filesystems | fgrep ntfs

In other words, the kernel is not compiled with ntfs support.

Nothing wrong with ext3 ;-)

is ext3 format visible from Windows?

Google for ext3 windows driver.
