Has anyone tried to install Crossepg on th...

Not sure if this is a bug or not. If I do a manual update of the Epg, the epg fills up ok, but If I re-boot the receiver loses the epg, is that correct?

If you "pull the plug" it does not have a chance to save the EPG data to disk. If you have a harddisk, it will store the EPG there when you shut down through the menu.

One thing I've noticed with XMLTV epg, when I goto my bouquets the epg is about an hour or so behind for some reason, any ideas?

That usually means that the timezone information in the XMLTV files is incorrect. Which source, and which service?

Rytec UK source.

I checked again this last / night and this morning. I looked like just a few channels were incorrect. The epg was showing different programs to what was actually being broadcast. Maybe an error in the xml??

Can I check the timezone on the xml on box?

I think Rytec was working on that today, timezone information for some services was lacking in the xml files. So it will probably be fixed in a few days.

I was looking through the epg this evening. I think the main bug I found was to do with Sky Screen 1 SD & HD. I the bouquet epg Sky Screen 1 was showing Sky Screen 2's epg, but if you select Sky Screen 1, the infobar shows the correct epg.

I opened the file rytec.channels.xml and these lines for the Sky Screen Channels, could something in these lines be the issue?

1:0:1:11FA:7EE:2:11A0000:0:0:0:

1:0:86:EF9:7D1:2:11A0000:0:0:0:

1:0:1:122B:0:0:11AAD53:0:0:0:

1:0:1:122B:968:2:11A0000:0:0:0:

1:0:86:F16:7E0:2:11A0000:0:0:0:

In my bouquet these are called Sky Screen 1, Sky Screen 2, Sky Screen 1 HD and Sky Screen 2 HD. Could it be naming of the channels in the xml?

@ Milo, I correct the Sky Screen section of the xml, but sky screen 2 sd & hd both show the same epg as screen 1 sd & hd in the bouquet screen.

I deleted on of the sky screen 2 channels and corrected the service ref's, but this still does not correct the issue, not sure what else to try: -

1:0:1:11FA:7EE:2:11A0000:0:0:0:

1:0:19:EF9:7D1:2:11A0000:0:0:0:

1:0:1:122B:968:2:11A0000:0:0:0:

1:0:19:F16:7E0:2:11A0000:0:0:0:

Hope this helps find a solution. I'd really like to get this epg working as it should.

Thank you.

Sorry I thought Milo was (rytec) the author. Any contact details for rytec? There none on the site apart from a forums address.

I wrote the plugin, Rytec (www.rytec.be) maintains the sources and channels files.

Try to find out if the XMLTV information is correct. You can do this by simply fetching the URL in the sources.xml file with a browser.

Milo, I fetched the xml from the uk xmltv url, this is what I found for Sky Screen channels, tbh I the only thing I think could be wrong is their display names, but to be honest I'm a little lost now: -

<display-name lang="en">Sky Screen2</display-name>

<display-name lang="en">Sky Screen1</display-name>

Milo are you able to pm me an email address for rytec?

I've sent rytec a pm, but he hasn't visited here since 5th Jan2010. Perhaps Milo can contact him?
