As the title, just wondering if anyone has tried to install Crossepg onto the VU+ Duo?

the problem is that the EPG style in Enigma2 is not useful! We want Enigma1 EPG style in E2 also!

The xmltv importer is in the standard download list for OpenPLi, and is always the latest version, since PLi is the source of the plugin.

Tbh I never tried the OpenPLi images. Are they stable enough to use? Is there a certain build more stable than others?

My VU+ Duo arrives tomorrow, so look forward to see what it can do

I am trying to find epg on this box but under if I press menu on rc I don't see option for application.

For last year I have been using ipbox and crossepg, so this is new to me now.

Via the plugin menu I found xmltv so install that and then downloaded data for 28.2e.


Just to add, once you install xmltv I then went to plugin menu and selected EPGImport then pressed blue for Sources then selected Rytec UK and press green then did manual install of epg.

Its related since in CrossEPG the way user is working with EPG and the way EPG looks like is similar to E1. In E2 MultiEPG is very inconvenient!

I always thought crossepg was just an epg reader.
But reading your comments, it also provides a userinterface?
I never knew that.

Imo after trying the XMLTV plugin, I think I prefer the XMLTV plugin

What pieterg wanted to know is whether - in addition to EPG download settings and things like that - it provides a replacement or addition to the EPG viewer (like the graphic view).

It provides a graphical view for displaying EPG

ah, I see. Indeed, I never knew crossepg provides something like that, always assumed it was only a reader.
Looks like it's using the framebuffer exclusively, so any e2 links are probably through webif url's...?

I used Crossepg on a 7025, from what I remember it used the built in graphical Epg or the Epg in the now next epg, if you know which one I mean (cant remember the exact name for it) The one where you press next extra.
