Im going to buy an DM600 on the internet, a few years back I've heard there's many clones out there that won't work with PLI Image etc. Is that the case today? How do I know I buy a original DM?

The price on the DM600 don't seem to be a big difference on any swedish site I look at, so theres hard to figure out if they're clones.

Just one question is the clones as good as the originals?

I only know about this link: http://www.dream-mul...thenticity-test
However, you need the DM600 first to test. You may check internet for pictures of clones to be sure.
I've heard the latest OpenPLi releases DON'T work on clones.

The price differential between an imported clone DM600 only seems to be 40 dollars, from a site that claims they only delievers 100% original dreambox.

That's a no brainer for me, I'm happy to give an extra 40 for a original even though it might not be a greater difference.

And as the link you posted you can get support from dream-multimedia if you have a original..

Just one question about the DM600, can you plugin a external HDD and record to that?

Or do you have to have a Internal HDD 2.5""?

I have an internal harddisk, but it should be possible too to record to a NAS using ethernet.

Can someone please help me with http://www.dream-mul...thenticity-test it doesn't say where i find the code on my dreambox. I know there is a plugin or something to check it, but where is that one located? And what is the name?

Would be nice to check if my new DM600 is a real one, because there is DM registerd Dream Multimedia sellers that is giving clones claiming they're real.

You have to be running the latest DMM image for the DM600 NOT a custom image like PLI. Once you load the latest image, there's a plugin for an auth. test which generates a code...you take that code and plug it into the website link you've been given. It'll generate a report indicating clone or not
