I digged my old 500s out of my basement to replace my even older dgstation. It wont connect to my server for some reason. The difference from when it worked is i replaced newcs with oscam. Do you know any compability issues with mgcamd any version in Pli image and oscam? I have tried the newest mgcamd and 2.9a so far.
Any other ideas on what it can be?

In most cases softcams/cardreaders and the image (PLi) work independently of each other. So, I assume it's a configuration problem in oscam. You could debug it all by starting the cardreaders from telnet. The output will hopefully show what's wrong.
