All,

Appologies if this question has been asked before.

I setup a VU+ for my friend this morning with Dream Elite and noticed one difference to my PLi image.

When I watch a recording and want to go back to the TV I press the TV button and the recordings menu appears, then I press exit button to go to TV.

On the DE when you press the TV button a popup box asks if you want to go back to TV Yes/No.

The PLi way is grand for me but when others want to switch they dont know what to do but the DE way is obvious and a bit more instructive.

Would be a nice addon to PLi. Been using Pli for 3 years and it rocks.

In my view nn the the VU+ there is no better.

i see no difference between exit in PLi and a confirm back to TV in DE

'exit' is the normal way to leave / exit a plugin inside Enigma(2) so more common use
we don't like to redisign the graphic user interface or common use that can follow up plugin problems

on the Glassfibre 1GB DVB-C...

pieterg,

Thanks for that. I found settings in the system record box to do with the recordings. Behaviour when a movie is started, stopped or ended.

But what I commented on was that during a playback pressing TV button brings up a popup box to return to TV yes/no.

But on PLi for me when playing a recording I press TV the movie list comes up.

Is that there is a setting to change what the TV button does when pressed ?

The tv button = the stop button. So the setting "what to do if movie is stopped" applies. My preference is "go to last service".

My preference for the stop button would be to go to the movielist.

Its just that the TV button in Radio mode goes to TV but in playback mode it doesnt.
The result of the TV button should it not be the same no matter what other mode you are in and you want to go to TV.

Can the action for the TV button when in playback mode be altered to go to the last service and leave the stop button to do as set in the system menu.

Is this an Enigma2, VU+ or PLi configuration.

it's the way the vu+ rc keymap is defined.
You might be able to change the behaviour in keymap.xml

Any action in the "menu" that you can display when you press "stop" can be done in the movielist with one keypress already, so the menu isn't really helpful and just lets you click more buttons. That's why displaying this menu when you press the stop button is not the default in OpenPLi.

Having the TV button go back to TV is actually quite logical on the VU+ and the DM8000 remote. On the 7025 remote the "stop" and "TV" buttons are the same button.

the thing is vuplus decided to emulate the 7025 remote, not the 8000 remote. So even if it has seperate buttons, they are handled the same way.
