Is there a permanent timeshift plugin available for the DM600?

I have searched the forum, but the only plugin I found does not support the DM600.

I don't have a 600, but the 500+ (quite similar except no hard drive) had permanent timeshift as an option in the recording sub-menu, labeled "timeshift" IIRC...

IMO, permanent/persistent timeshifting should be the default behaviour. There shouldn't be a need to explicitly download additional software or change a setting for this to work.

A lot of users on a different forum have wanted this behaviour as well, and I hope it is something that can be implemented in Enigma2 as part of the default setup.

I fully agree with you. In the meantime there is a nice plugin (see here for download) that does the job very neatly.

As mentioned above, my 500+ came with Timeshift, standard in the image. They never included or removed it from the 600?

On 500+ it was under:

Menu / Setup / System Settings / Recording & playing / yellow button - Timeshift

Yh tried the exact same thing with it both on and off and only the regular timesshift had worked. I have tried this on both pli jade 3 and open pli images.

So does this give you a permanent timeshift hemispherical1 (rewind without having to pause)?

I never used it much, but iirc you could rewind after pausing, i.e. the timeshift recording started at channel change so you could rewind back to the point where you changed channels at any time. The timeshift didn't start when you pressed pause, it was already running since channel change, but I think you had to press pause before you could skip back/rewind.

I haven't used my 500+ in about a year, but that seems to be what I remembered...
