Well in over a year VU+ still hasnt fixed all bugs. They have had plenty of time.
But my question is. Does ET9000 support USB dvb-t tuners? Especially iam interested in Nova-T stick which iam using now in VU+'DUO

all enigma2 boxes which are currently supported (except the 7025) use the same v4l dvb drivers, and support the same vtuner interface.
And our usbtunerhelper works fine with all of them.

In the meantime there is a solution: VIX-image for Solo based on PLi 2.0. Worth a try!

So if the VIX Team is able build a Vu+ Solo Image on top of the PLi 2.0, you should be able to support the Solo too.

What gave you the idea that the PLi-team would not be able to support the Solo. Of course they are!
There are/must be other reasons than that for not supporting the Solo.

I've expressed myself incorrectly. I know that the PLi team is able to support Solo, but I just wondered why they do it for the Duo and not for the Solo? Are the drivers so different? Or what is the matter of not building an nightly Solo Image?

maybe down to 2 things, time and lack of hardware. it take alot of time to support machines. and ViX is only 'Based' on PLi, not just PLi built with vix plugins installed, i had to recode alot of core stuff to get it to work as we wanted. it not just a matter of a few things, yes with a few tweaks ti PLi you can build a solo image but it is not that easy, that what PLi are saying.
so until PLi want to support the solo Officially, there is another solution.
and remember that without PLi they would be no ViX 2.0, the main base Vu+ image is starting to get bogged down with coding for DM only stuff and Vu do not seem to be coding the OE only there drivers, and there are not wiling to help Dev's out that is one of the reason ViX made the move over to PLi, as there continued support within the OE the best around IMO.

I ever thought they would do good support, because during the early phase of the Vu+ Duo the updates were brought out very quickly.

they seem to be more interested in sales, than after sales support.

Yeah, the VIX enhancements like QuickEPG or the Buttons, Skins could be implemented as Plugins. An they could profit from the daily updates.

VIX was a hobbie of Andyblac so that he and only he had an image that he could easily use in his home and that then stemed into offering it to everyone else to use. and it was liked so it was made more mainstream.
with in all of this any never tried nor ment to comete with any main stream image team and he never puts any one of them down.
PLi is in my opinion one of the best images about and thats why VIX decided to use the core it was never ment to be in compotition or to clash with them it was purly for the first reason and that was to make the image easy to use.
now with respect to joining well we are not mainstream image builder as such we are hobbists and we like to keep it that way.
Andy is happy with his image and he uses it. All the VIX team is happy and any one else thats wants to use it is more than welcome to do so.

And we are happy as long as the sourcecode is made available.
I haven't found it yet, but I guess that's being worked on.
Just remember that binary-only plugins are not compatible with the license of our enigma2 fork (which is GPL).
