SD is redelijk ok.

SD is redelijk ok?

@Alias1: I don't think I'm allowed to switch to English here.......if you are interested let me know, I'll start the topic in the EN section.

Hi
,
just
a
quick question
:
does
streaming
HD
channels
to a PC
(
with
VLC
)
work without
problem
s?
I
do
not manage
.
SD
is
pretty
ok
.
Even
with
fully
wired
connections
.
An
HD
stream
would be
around
max
12/15
Mb
/
s, so
my
100
Mb
LAN
,
should
be
able
to
cope.
Have
tried
with multiple
PCs
(
W7
)
.
I
would
like
to know if
it should work without problems before I conduct extensive research.
TIA
JD
It
works
well
.
I
do
have
an
occasional
problem
that
some
minutes
that the picture gets
blocky
and
'
freezes'
.
Then
I
restart
the
stream
,
or
restart
vlc
.
No
idea if
it
is
because of vlc
or
the
Vu+Duo
.
Vlc
does not
respond
very
well
after
that
.
SD
is
pretty
ok
?
SD
should
be
just
right
.
What
processor
is
in
the
PCs
that
you
're
using?
Did
you
set the skip
h264
loop
filter
to
'
all
'
?
If
you
set
the task manager
to '
one
graph
per
core'
,
then
what
is
the load of
the
most busy
core
?
Have
you
tried
a
new
version
of
vlc
that
can offload
h264
decoding
i
to
the
GPU
(if you
have
a
good
gpu
which supports that
)
.
There is a lot of information on the vlc forum about watching
hd video
.
You have
to have a
quite
powerful
PC
though
.

I moved the thread to the Dutch section, it was placed in the English one.
@Alias1: It was about if HD channels could be streamed over the ethernet.
