Hi, even een korte vraag:
werkt het streamen van HD zenders naar PC (met VLC) probleemloos?
Ik krijg het niet voor elkaar. SD is redelijk ok.
Zelfs met volledig bekabelde verbindingen.

Een HD stream zou rond de max. 12/15 Mb/s moeten zijn en mijn 100 Mb LAN zou het aan moeten kunnen.
Heb met meerdere PC's geprobeerd (W7).

Ik zou graag willen weten of het probleemloos zou moeten werken voor dat ik het uitgebreid ga onderzoeken.

Het werkt op zich goed. Ik heb wel af en toe dat een na tig minuten blokkerig wordt en 'vastloopt'. Dan moet ik de stream opnieuw starten, of vlc opnieuw starten. Geen idee of het aan de vu of aan vlc ligt. Vlc reageert daarna namelijk niet heel goed meer.

SD is redelijk ok? SD zou gewoon goed moeten zijn.
Wat voor processor zit er in de pc's die je gebruikt? Heb je h264 skip loopfilter op 'all' staan? Als je in de taskmanager een graph per core instelt, wat is de dan de belasting van de meest belastte core?
Heb je een nieuwe versie van vlc geprobeerd die h264 decoding kan offloaden naar de gpu (als je tenminste een goede gpu hebt die dat ook ondersteund). Over hd kijken met vlc is veel te vinden op het vlc forum. Je hebt er best een krachtige pc voor nodig.

Ja, met mijn snelste processor werkt het minste slecht. Een intel Core i5.
Ik gebruik al de laatste VLC maar moet even checken over die instellingen.

SD gaat soms een hele tijd goed. Wel, heb ik gemerkt, ook bij HD kanalen, dat de box gaat de stream opnemen. Het rode lichtje gaat branden.
Dat was niet het geval met mijn DM7000. Ik vraag me af of het normaal is en of dat het probleem is. Weet iemand dat?

Ik heb veel gelezen maar nooit gedacht aan de VLC forum. Bedankt oor de tip.

Ik ga het een en ander uitzoeken. o.a. streamen naar linux en wat netwerk monitoring.

@Alias1: It was about if HD channels could be streamed over the ethernet.

We kunnen verder gaan in Nederlands of Engels. Jdtego mag beslissen en dan verplaats ik 'em wel.
