Hi,
on occassions I got this weired problem that the date and time changes on its own. I suspect that the problem is as follow:

I use Optus 156 C1/D3 and Optus D2 satelites in my setup. I suspect that the Optus D2 has some problems with sending the correct time/date info in it's stream. If I reboot the box while I watch program on D2 the time changes few hrs and the date goes to 2000 or 2012 or other at random. The timzone settings is as it should be and restarting box or enigma does not help. The only way I can fix it is to change to Optus C1/D3 and restart the box (switch the power off). I have to say that I saw similar behaviour on other box ( Ultraplus F9000HD) but I never saw it on DM7000 or the PC Sat software I was using.

Is there anyway to force vuduo to use always the same satelite to gather the date/time or force it to use NTP server?

It is bit annoying to loose your EPG or timer recordings as a resault.

Thanks

I think it's "ntpdate" you're after - if I recall correctly ntp-utils will turn your box into a NTP server, not just a client.

I've install on my Vu+ duo (opkg install) enigma2-plugin-extensions-ntpupdatemanager_1.0.1_mipsel.ipk.
I can see it in plugins. I can choose ntp server, but when I reboot box on D2 it takes transponder time which is strange.
What I'm missing?
It should be specified somewhere in enigma2 config which time should be taken during the boot time.
Also somewhere should be .xml file with the setting.
Any help welcome.
