Sorry, but no there isn't. If I were you, I wouldn't risk this daft idea anyway, to be frank.

Cheers- AL

not winning here... /images/smiley/sad.gif
is it something to do with the tmpgenc setting when encoding the picture? bitrate ?
can someone upload a working latest dm500s maxvar image where we can put our own bootlogo as bild in /var/etc ?

I think you'll be much better off using the tried and trusted BootLog creation process, found in TuxBoxLogoViewer, m8...

BTW- does the Commando test logo display corrupted like that, as well??? I've a lot on my plate over the next couple of days, but I'll do my best to upload the simple way to create bootlogos for E1 enigma and neutrino for you to play with asap.

so i managed to extract the cramfs partition and can see the openpli bootlogo there and anothr file called os, i've replaced openpli bild file with my own bild file, which is exactly the same size, then used 'mkcramfs foldername imagename', ftp the generated image to /tmp on dreambox and flashed mtd6 partition. now the box doesn't boot...lol, time to use DreamUP to flash my backup image.

what is the correct syntax to use with mkcramfs for Dreambox image?

cheers
mamujim

The command to flash image in the thread is:

cd /tmp && eraseall /dev/mtd/5 && cp mtd5.img /dev/mtd/5 && reboot

In some sites, the command to flash image is:

cd /tmp && eraseall /dev/mtd/3 && cp mtd5.img /dev/mtd/3 && reboot

What is the difference between /dev/mtd/3 and /dev/mtd/5 ?
Which is the correct /dev/mnt/?
Thanks.

Exactly what the settings should carry jpg image?

And what is the settings in the program tmpgenc?

I want to introduce my own image but I can not find the correct settings because the system does not read the image.

thanks
