Hi All,

Firstly, just set up PLI today (and satellite TV for that matter) and I'm WELL HAPPY!!! :-)

But I have a question....

If I'm watching TV and think "oh that was interesting" or "What did he say?", how can I go back a few seconds?

So what I'm looking for I suppose... is auto recording of each channel or something so that I can skip back a few seconds if I need to.

How that makes sense.

Thanks
Matt

Found the auto timeshift now.... But it doesn't work. I've set it all up in the setup menu and the path is valid, but it doesn't automatically start recording when I change channels.

I've figured out the manual timeshift now, but I've got to manually pause each time. Also can't go backwards.

Please help someone

ATS (Automatic TimeSift) & PTS (Permanent Timeshift) both work and both are in the feeds.
There is one PLi-related flaw: before you can wind back (max. to the moment you switched to the channel) you have to use the "Pause"-button. But apart from that extra button-push, both work great.

If you want good functionality for "recording in retrovision" (= watch a programm, like it and are sorry you didn't record it) use PTS. If that is less important to you, use ATS (as it is more intuitively to handle).

how to you remove plugins? They disappear from the menu once you've installed them and there's no way (that i can see) to remove them.

I want to play around with the ATS again but can't while PTS is enabled.

cheers

is ATS still working correctly in the latest PLI2 ?
I've installed it, and I know that it's running because when I press the "record" button I have an extra option "start infinite timeshift" (or something like that). If I choose this option then I have an extra recording which starts at the moment I switched to the current channel.
If, however, I press the pause button, then I get a incrementing counter on the screen, starting at "00:02". When pressing rewind, I cannot move past the moment I pressed the pause button, so it looks that pressing the pause button started a new time-shift recording. Pressing rewind without pause doesn't work (as you said).
when I look at my CF folder, I find a timeshift-recording file in the 'usr' directory (which I designated to be used for any timeshift recording).
so it seems that the AFS is running, creating a timeshift recording which I can SAVE but which I cannot see by pressing pause/rewind ?

Hmmm, does not sound OK. I didn't use ATS for quite some time, so I am not sure if it still works as it did. I use PTS instead, and that one does work.
