When someone put this in a ipk I'm able to offer this as a 3rd party download... E.g. as enigma2-plugin-ppanels....

@VU+NL,

Huge thanks for your great efforts and sharing of this ppanel script !

@littlesat,

Great idea, it will be easier to upgrade this script via opkg upgrade !

Something like this?

@VU+NL could you show the versionnumber at the startpage of the systemtools? So it is easier to see if you have the latest version.

I see, the name is not wisely chosen because under pli there is the plugin ppanel.
Maybe the attached ipkg is better?

hello,

Pedro the path is /etc/ppanels /xxx.xml

the path of your ipk points to /etc/enigma2/ppanels >>>> this is wrong

saludos

Well you're right (a bit).
The original path is indeed etc/ppanels, however etc/enigma2/ppanels is chosen because it's being backed up by the plugin autobackup. autobackup back-ups everything under etc/enigma2 and can be restored automatically when installing a new image.

So both places are the right place to install this but I prefer, and many others I believe, to install it under etc/enigma2/ppanels so it will be backed up by the plugin autobackup

In this case I would say that etc/PPanels is a slightly better place, as there is no need for a backup and after install no E2 restart is required.
Etc/enigma2/ppanels is the better place to install personal items by hand.

But all in all, there is not much reason to change the location.

You're both right, now I see there is no need for an extra back-up if the systemtools are placed in the feed.

Maybe Littlesat can tell which name he prefers to be used for these systemtools. Now the plugin uses enigma2-plugin-pli-systemtools etc. and I think this isn't the right place.
A better place/name should be enigma2-plugin-extensions-systemtools etc.?

Maybe you could add automatic oscam updater.
Please write in description that oscam file needs to be named "oscam" otherwise this script needs to be manually corrected.

Here is my modified version of system tools. I kindly donated space and bandwidth on my server.

VU+NL please check this if this is acceptable for you.

I tested it and it works. Whole process takes a while...
