I am doing this compile on an Inspiron Duo (1.6GHz dual core Atom CPU LOL), so I would like to get psyco going, but although I have installed it from Ubuntu(11.10), the scripts don't recognise it is installed. What can I do to make it work/

Tanck your dear crystophecvr for the fast answer,

I try this solution and in this momment work good: http://openpli.org/f...post__p__229071

Is this correct?

What is "restart from scratch"?

Thank Your

That is correct

P.s. The link to the make file into my explanation is almost one of the latest .
If You want to keep your work directory indeed put a # (comment) in front of the inherit= work .....

Uncomment the line and replace the ip echo '#DISTRO_FEED_URI = "http://192.168.65.1/feeds/$${FEED_NAME}/$${MACHINE}"' >> $@ If You want to have your own pc as update source.
Then You ass well need to install http server on your pc. It's all explained in the quick setup.

From scratch Wath I do: ... I remove every file and directory (also the hidden) from my openpli directory EXCEPT the Makefile and the sources directory.

Then just restart with

make -f Makefile-2.1

The next command after the openpli is pulled

make -f Makefile-2.1 image

.

Well I am finally within 22 steps from done, but now I need
tuxbox-common-1.0+svn236-r2 do_fetch

I have left the fetch step running for 18 hours thinking it is a slow compile on the Atom CPU, but when I finally killed it,it turnedout to be a cvs fetch.

you have to accept accept tuxbox.org's ssh RSA key:
ssh anoncvs@cvs.tuxbox.org
and restart your build...
//btw., solution for this issue is provided in the 'Quick setup document' (and then appears once more) on the first page of this topic ;) ...

Thanks to all who helped - it is finally built and I can now start on a whole new adventure: trying to compile a C program for the dreambox to run natively to Linux. Hopefully it will simplify the use of vtuner on dreamboxes to share tuners.

Hi,

Type in a terminal window:

sudo apt-get python-psyco

Or check this: http://psyco.sourceforge.net/

You will probably need to downgrade your current python version to return to a psyco supported version.

I have the build working, but can anyone explain if I want to make a change to one of the source files in the openpli image, what would I need to do?

Make your source changes of the file in place and rebuild. The make should pick up the newer source file and recompile/link it. If it is a python file then you should just have to restart enigma - no compile required.

I can't find the openpli source, where should it be located?

I have my compiled build and can not find epgcache.cpp, where should the enigma2 source be available to edit this in place?

in site.conf delete/comment line:
INHERIT += "rm_work"
after compiling, your workdir won't be 'cleared',
you'll be able to apply your changes there, and then rebuild...

Rebuilding keeps pulling new source, what command should I use to rebuild the current source?
