De laatste dagen is er niet meer normaal met de ontvanger ter werken, tijdens afspelen schokkend beeld en constant tandwielen in beeld.

Uiteindelijk volgt er een crash.

Ik heb de harde schijf opnieuw geformatteerd zonder succes (schijf controle werkt niet door te weinig geheugen).

Gisteren nog PLI ge-upgrade.

Wie kan iets uit de crashlog (2x) halen wat fout gaat.

Heb jij al eens geprobeerd om de box vers te flashen dus zonder restoren van een eerdere backup noch het gebruik van autoinstall?
Zo niet, waag eens de gok. Het kost je misschien eenmaal wat extra werk maar wellicht is daarmee een hoop ellende opgelost.

Nog even vergeten. Het komt mij voor als een issue met de harddisk maar opnieuw flashen kan geen kwaad lijkt mij.

Mijn schotel is een T90 met 10 LNB's. Daarnaast voor de fun nog een draaibaar systeem met een Triax TD 78.

Dreamboxen heb ik niet meer echt actief. Verder heb ik ook nog een een VU+ duo2 met 500Gb harddisk + een VU+ Uno, Zero, Solo 4K, Ultimo 4K, Zero 4K, Uno 4Kse. + ook nog een Xtrend ET7x00. Daarnaast heb ik ook nog diverse andere modellen w.o. een Formuler F4, ET8500, ET7500, Mut@nt 2400HD, Xsarius Fusion HD se en verder nog wel het e.e.a. waarmee op verzoek vanalles wordt getest. Iemand moet het tenslotte doen.
Los van de eerder genoemde modellen heb ik nog wel een rits aan testsamples als Mut@nt 2400HD, HD60, GB UE4K, GB Trio4K, Maxitec Multibox combo en Twin, Octagon sf8008, sf8008 mini en last but nog least enkele modellen van het Grieks Duitse Edision.

Voor centrale opslag van media gebruik ik een Qnap 219P met tweemaal 2 Tb harddisks + een Synology DS414 met 12 Tb Totale opslag.

Ik heb de VU opnieuw geflasht zonder backup en de settings met de hand terug gezet. Maar heb nog steeds de zelfde problemen.

Ik kan ook geen schijfcontrole uitvoeren, volgens mij een geheugen te kort voor een 2TB schijf. Ik heb ook geprobeerd met een swapfile van 32Mb maar schijfcontrole lukt dan nog niet.

De schijfcontrole daar is iets mee aan de hand meen ik zo. Maar als het nu nog niet goed werkt, dus slechte opnames etc dan zou ik zo langzamerhand eens aan de hardware (harddisk) gaan denken. En aangezien je uiteraard garantie hebt mag dat geenm probleem zijn.
Ik heb 'slechts' 1 Tb in mijn VU+duo. Hogere opslagcamapciteiten willen soms nog weleens problemen geven. Niet dat ik er zelf ervaring mee heb maar dat meen ik eerder eens gelezen te hebben.

Ik kan niet zonder hdd, daarom heb ik nieuwe besteld van 2TB, morgen in huis.
Als die wel goed werkt zal ik die andere ter garantie aanbieden.

Graag had ik schijfcontrole laten lopen om te zien of er fout zijn.
Hier ff wat SMART info van mijn schijf. Ik zie niet zo wat er fout zou kunnen zijn maar mogelijk iemand ziet iemand anders wel een probleem...

Die waarden is niks mis mee.

Bij crashen van een box denk ik ook totaal niet als eerste aan een kapotte
harddisk.

De "schijfcontrole" controleert het filesysteem, niet de disk. En daar kan
inderdaad ook vanalles mis mee zijn.

Maar wat je beschrijft, daarbij denk ik toch eerder aan een
hardware-probleem en/of warmte.

Had toch eerst even de HD los gegooid van de ontvanger ipv direct maar een nieuwe te bestellen dan weet je of je wel in de goede hoek zoekt.

Ik heb alleen maar problemen met opnames, afspelen en timeshift. Dat gaat niet als je de hdd los gooit. Ik ben er al een week of twee mee aan het stoeien. Mijn vrouw zucht weer als de tandwielen in beeld komen en vraagt zich af waarom het allemaal zo ingewikkeld moet, vroeger keken we gewoon naar analoge kabel, mopper de mopper. Ik wil het nu zo snel mogelijk oplossen, en schijf van 2TB kost "maar" €70,-.

Ik baal er van dat ik geen schijf kontrole kan uitvoeren, dat zou mogelijk iets meer kunnen vertellen. Af en toe is de VU niet meer te bedienen (ook geen telnet) en is het enige mogelijkheid power off/on. Maar dat is weer niet goed voor het bestandssysteem.....

Al geprobeerd een USB stick te gebruiken ?
ALs het zich daar ook voor doet dan zit het toch ergens anders.

Als je eerst enigma2 stopt (init 4) en fsck vanaf telnet/ssh runt, heb je al veel meer RAM beschikbaar. Maak desnoods een swap van 256MB ofzo aan, als het dan nog niet lukt.

Volgens mij is het probleem dat een 2TB schijf met teveel inodes wordt opgezadeld.

Atmolight draait hier al een aantal maanden zonder enig probleem (te veroorzaken).

Morgen de Schijf opnieuw formateren?

Harddisk.py: Limit the number of i-nodes while formatting

   Large disks get too many inodes, which causes fsck to bail out with a
   memory error.

   Even on a 2TB disk, I don't expect you to have a million files and
   directories, so I top it off at 256k inodes. Any disk above 250GB
   gets "only" 256k inodes instead of the 1 inode per megabyte
   default setting for "largefile". I haven't seen reports of fsck
   failing on a 500GB disk, so I just assume that these work well.

   (untested - my test disk is too small)
