I used to have my DM800 set with a channel which it would default to after coming out of standby but having updated the channel list it doesn't work any more. Where do I set this - I've looked into all the menus and plugins but cannot find it.

Note that this isn't the same as the startup channel (i.e. the channel the box defaults to after powering on).

I think that you mean the "Set as Startup Service" option - that will indeed set the channel as default when the box restarts or enigma2 restarts, but not when it is brought out of standby.

I can't remember how I did this before but I did have it working - up until I imported new channel lists which screwed it up.

Thanks for replying anyway.

I've never heard of such a setting, haven't seen it neither in the menu nor in the e2 code.
e2 goes out of standby on the same channel where you left it, when entering standby.

Quite possibly it was a plugin (or part of a plugin). It's not biggie, just helpful as I find sometimes when the box comes out of standby it has lost the EPG for the DTT channels, and setting one of the DTT channels as default means it updated EPG as soon as it came out of standby.

Also immediately switching to a DTT channel doesn't put unneccessary pressure on network links, if you know what I mean...

know you're very busy man.
If you find time, then look at these additions to the GUI enigma2.
Can they be useful for openPLi?

Hello, old thread, but is this possible? Select a channel to view when the box wakes from standby? Perfect for children, just turn on TV, hdmi cec wakes the box, and baaaam Disney Channel :-)

How did you find this old topic...?

What can be done is when we configurr a startup service that when we put a box in standby that after e.g. 10 minutes we go to the startup service, but when we turn it on before these 10 minutes it falls back to the last service... It reaches it's goal and it saves an extra config.

I think that's even a better solution.

Works great, thanks :-) But maybe this should be a part of the pli? Since there is "startup service from deep standby" it feels strange that there is none for standby.
