AC3/DTS downmix is of course not activated in Openpli since my Homecinema can decode such audio track via HDMI.

This is what i mean, try to enable downmix ac3 sound for ones and try the volume in the webif.
If you haven't already.

Yes when AC3/DTS downmix is set to ON then volume control works.

I don't think this is webif related.
What you probably mean is:

-normal volume control works fine, both with real RC, and with virtual RC in the webif
-HDMI CEC forwarding of vol+/vol- keys works fine with the real RC, but not with the virtual RC from the webif
(-HDMI CEC forwarding of vol+/vol- keys probably also doesn't work when you use an external usb keyboard)

i don't have hdmi-cec but do you mean that it shut be possible to change ac3 volume trough webif with hdmi-cec or not?
Because otherwise we are all meaning the same.i think :P

What I mean is that hdmi-cec volume key forwarding is not webif functionality. So as long as normal volume control is working, it does not need to be looked at by the openwebif devs.

Hi Pieterg,

Indeed you have done a very good summary of the problem.
So OK if the problem is not in the hand of OpenWebif developpers and since HDMI-CEC is also an official Openpli Plugin can you please forward the problem to HDMI-CEC developpers?

But what I need to add is that I didn't turn off HDMI-CEC plugin, I just disable AC3/DTS downmix in the menu and then webif volume control is working. So the problem is really at the border between both plugins and/or AC3/DTS downmix option.

Thanks,

Pr2

Ok blzr, done.
But in my personal opinion the border is too heavy. It should be better something lighter.

Ye it is just 1 pixel but a light color or dotted line can reduce the impact of the border.
But i am not a web sytlyst, pheraps someone better in graphics side can help in this.

Ooops, probably i made a mistake :)
The intellectual property should be always respected for everything (hardware, software and media contents) so, if this box is a clone, i completely agree to remove the relative stuff from openwebif.

I only don't understand why this is a clone?

A definition for say "this box is a clone" should be:
The hardware is copied from schematics from another manufacturer or it's developed to be identical so they can use the original proprietary parts of softwares (for example drivers).

But the gigablue have his own hardware design with his drivers. So, why this is a clone? For what i can see it doesn't seem different from a vu+ or cteck/xtrend decoder.

(sorry if i keep this OT argument... it's just for clarifications)

Back to the right topic :)
Yesterday night i pushed some fix to openwebif.
The subservice api now should work correctly.
The movie delete is fixed (from both api and web)
I also tested it with XBMC.
Taking a look to xbmc source code i saw it doesn't send username and password for every request. But only for the first. I cached the login status inside the session so now it work also with xbmc and authentication enabled. But I found two other "issues" testing xbmc:
- XBMC handle the bouquets as directories. So you can order it by name, size and date (obviously size and date are useless) and you loose your channel order. I add a configuration option to openwebif called "Smart services renaming for XBMC" and openwebif add a sequential number (as a prefix) to the service name. In this way xbmc show the services ordered.
- It doesn't zap before a stream. With one tuner is really annoying :) Looking the source code xbmc do the zap for enigma1 box and not for enigma2. Someone know why? But for this i think it should be patched the code from xbmc side.

What do you think if we move the default port from 8088 to 80? Is it mature enought

I agree, so I've changed to dotted the separation lines.
In this way, it has also the same style of the movies and timers highlighting.
Obviously, any better idea is welcome

Ok skaman sorry for misunderstunding.
I hope that we will not add thousand of remte controls with all the map code for everyone or the appication will sit down :D

@Rincewind: nice idea !

You're right about the ordering off the channels however ,on my pc the ordering is and was always as the channel order in the box with xmbc 10.1 (strange?) but at the laptop of my wife it was ordered as you say and i couldn't get it right.
However it looks like the beta version of xmbc (11.0) which i installed yesterday does do the job right.
So maybe in the future you can reverse that numbering commit, although it doesn't bother me at all.

I think it's mature enough but wouldn't we test some more days with all progs out there?
And shouldn't we be aware that some dreambox users also have the original webif installed on port 80?

I really cannot thank you enough for your excellent work and time that you and others put in to this!!!!!

great job

I personally would like to get my hands on it and try it before.
When can we expect new ipk package update for OpenPli, currently it's still 0.1+git274+3ef433c-r0.7

I think so.

I will check movie-delete and subservices later tonight and report back.

Could we add the version-number of the OpenWebIf in web/about? I would prefer something which clearly indicates that it is OpenWebIf? Maybe something like OWIF 1.0.0

In this way, an app using web/about-api can distinguish OpenWebIf from original WebIf.

What do you think?

OK, I just tested the delete-movie-api and it works (does not crash my decoder anymore) :)

I also had a look at subservice-api and it returns the expected result so it is working as well :)

Great work!

Thanks!
