today's VU+ drivers release:

20111114
- Fix HDMI CEC problem(wakeup from standby)
- Reduce zapping noise in some A/V Receiver
- Fix Recording/Playback problem
- Fix High bitrate tuning problem(Uno, MUST Need a FPGA update, http://archive.vuplu...fpga/vuuno/4.4/)
- Improve media playback
- Fix skip problem in media playback
- Change temperature calculation algorithm.(uno, ultimo)
- Change the lowest FAN speed(ultimo)
- Fix incorrect keycode in the remote control(ultimo)
- Add interface to control VFD in the application(ultimo)

You are right. For some reason it doesn't works . I installed the plugin manually . when I started up, I got a green screen.
The plugin you can find here . http://openpli.org/f...upgrade-plugin/
But use it on your own risc.

if you follow the instructions it says to install into

/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/FPGAUpgradeBH

but the plugin looks for the config in the dir

/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/FPGAUpgrade

so rename the directory, restart enigma2 and it should work ( untested )

I have rename it to FPGAUpgrade and.... it Works no Green Screen THX ^^
