I don't know why PIP and more don't work. Don't you think this is not the best time for me to do the PC project?
Recently I wrote on this forum that at the moment I have much more important life problems which I did not invent myself and explained the reason, but my post was deleted.

I haven't read that post,i don't blame you either. 

On the contrary, you have done your best .... the PiP question was intended for anyone to answer it.

 

If you use VDR xineliboutput plugin you will realize that there is no PiP feature.

It's only available in softhddevice plugin.

It's probably doesn't work with xine-lib.

 

I just want to praise the person who had (injected) e2pc code into enigma2 application.

I dunno if Cougar or Nobody9 who done it.

I have looked into e2pc code and i can tell you he has done an excellent job.

That person (or someone else who has the knowledge) can also (inject) softhddevice code instead of xine-lib.

By doing so e2pc will work perfectly, PiP feature will work as well.

 

By the way, the word (inject) should not be used coz code injection usually used by an attacker who injects a code into an application

Hi Bro, I installed E2PC on Ubuntu 20 successfully. when I run e2pc, Language Selection window is appeared . when I select English and press Enter key, E2pc is crashed.

 

How can solve this problem?

Hi,

I don't use any subtitle plugin however, you can download subssupport latest release, extract it on your pc and install manually.

It works fine 

but just the deb file not the ipk (found nothing in it after extracting)

The deb file was instaled automatically to the blugins path

Sure,  i understand..and I intentionaly took the risk     after trying extracting the ipk and found nothing in it.

 

i wonder if it was a bad file or it requiers another type of archive manager?(i used the defult ubuntu 18.04 archive manager)

 

just in case i wanted to try other plugins.

Try this

ar x  enigma2-plugin-extensions-subssupport_1.5.8-20200522_all.ipk

And please don't take the risk  or install any .ipk package coz you could mess up the whole system.

 

That's why @1455 removed such option from plugins page.

 

For now, can you post subssupport screenshots to help other members who are interested to use it?

Now while you are watching a movie on any channel click on F4

 

-  SubsSupport DVB Player Settings

 

 

- SubsSupport  DVB Player

 

 

- Enter movie name then click on Ok.

 

 

 

 

 

 

That's it.

You can surely select different preferred subtitles languages..
