It is a while since I installed the OpenPLi image and am thinking about whether I ought to upgrade to latest version. However, I am concerned about what effect this would have on the current settings as it took me hours to set up the satellite positions, etc.

So, would I lose satellite positions, channel listings, LAN settings, etc?

If you already run OpenPLi 2.1 you can simply upgrade without flashing and you will lose no settings.

Otherwise you'll need to write down the important settings, because you cannot install the autobackup plugin in non-current OpenPLi versions.

One question.
Does Autobackup make a complete *.nfi image backup too?
Or is it just settings and plugins?
If it is just settings and plugins, which is the most recommended tool for full *.nfi image backup on OpenPLi?

ET9000, OpenPLi 4.0, 13E, 19E

HD51, OpenPLi 6.2, 75E - 30W

Check MiLo`s post here

From the same thread...it`s reported that Backups from Dflash are successfully restored onto internal flash on OpenPli, provided that /boot is mounted prior to backing up.

Good luck!!!
