Which password are you referring to?

Just before making the backup are you then able to change the password?

The backup is just a 100% copy of your running system

Hi , before making the back up password changes as many times as a want .

After making the back up and installing the back up to receiver , the receiver keeps the pass from the back up and it will not change , it does not even recognize the command passwd

Hi Pedro, are you aware that if a network/mount/share is available on your stb that BackupSuite makes a "USB" backup to it. ?

*** THIS BACKUP IS CREATED WITH THE PLUGIN BACKUPSUITE ***
***** This plugin is brought to you by Pedro_Newbie ******

Plugin version     = git101+da77831
Back-up media      = /hdd

Drivers = et-dvb-modules-et8000 - 4.0.1+20160420-r0.0
Enigma2 = 2016-05-07

Working directory  = /hdd/bi
Destination        = /hdd/fullbackup_et8000/20160508_1756/et8000

RECEIVER = Xtrend ET8000

Please be patient, a backup will now be made, this will take about: 1.23 minutes

*** FIRST SOME HOUSEKEEPING ***

There is a valid USB-flashdrive detected in one of the USB-ports, therefore an extra copy of the back-up image will now be copied to that USB-flashdrive.
This only takes about 20 seconds.....

Wow that was quick.

Yes I have 2 boxes on my LAN and both have BackupSuite installed.

But they also have different configurations.

Fortunately for me they are from different manufacturers, so there is no confusion. However if both stb's were the same...

But do you have a file named backupstick in the root of your harddiskSH1 (or even a folder with that name)?

If you delete that file/folder you don't get an extra copy of your ET8000 backup on your harddisk of the Zgemma Star

It hangs just before/during checking for an additional backup storage, it checks if there is an additional device which contains a file (or folder) with the name backupstick.

But why it hangs on that process I can't tell you.

If the backup hangs are there any other devices attached on the Duo2?

I see that the Galaxy Innovations ET-7000 mini is also supported by Openpli.

I want to add it to the BackupSuite but therefore I need the outcome of the command:

cat /proc/stb/info/boxtype

Does anyone know this outcome?

The other parameters I've already found

I'll supply the output later today.
