Just take a look, Zgemma added space too! Not just uppercase also space!

I wonder what they'll come up with next...

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

root@h9combo:~# cat /proc/stb/info/boxtype
H9 Combo

What is the problem?

The problem is that is the last few driver updates, they've changed from "h9combo" to "H9Combo" to "H9 Combo", and this value is used by the software to determine on which box it runs.

The standard is 1 word (so no spaces) and lowercase. A rule they broke, and with that they broke all software.

If you have 8.0-RC installed, please:

  • check the help on the box: does it show the correct remote, and if you walk through the items, does it point to the correct keys on the remote?
  • On the web interface, does it show the correct box and info on the boxinfo page? If you open the full remote, does it show the correct remote?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

I hope https://github.com/O...fa27e2785650ea4 fix the problem for you so @WanWizard needs to push the new version on the feeds.

The one and the only reason I'm still helping with this matter is the great attitude of WanWizard.

He has a really great personality.

But this fix isn't good as there may be "i55 se" later or any other ...

Spaces should be omitted permanently with a replace and go like before.

We've mentioned it and the answer was the boxtype should reflect the model name. Or something to that effect... :(

Is the modification of the supported boxlist already on the roadmap?

No idea, it's a third party application, you'll have to discuss that with the author, "Persian Prince".

I will check it my friend, if you know Vu+ please ask them to send us at least one sample (any 4K model but duo4kse would be better because we have kernel probem with it also and our images won't boot on it) as nobody in our team has Vu+ so it's a blindspot for us.

We have team members in europe.

I would love to but I don't think they'll respond kindly to such a request... ;)

The Duo 4K SE has the same kernel as the Ultimo 4K, not as the Duo 4K, so many you go wrong there?

Their loss as we simply don't care, when users want something we have no idea.

This is our defconfig for ultimo4k which boots fine: https://github.com/O...imo4k/defconfig

This is our defconfig for duo4kse which won't boot: https://github.com/O...o4kse/defconfig

Any idea?

I'm not home right now, so can't do much. How does that compare to what we have, as our 8.0-rc image works fine.
