Is it possible to put iptv channels of this type into bouquets:
mms://212.200.191.94/rts1?ctrl=18zAmJuJfpBQS8RUQW834rTjxqmotQaM1fx20EB%40f2%40Mrh%2FbAFE5AQ%3d%3d
They are in wmv codec which Xtrend boxes can play with the latest drivers.

you can try:
opkg install gst-plugin-mms
//I don't own xtrend box to check... ;)

Yes, the plugin was already installed.
I was able to play the stream for several hours without any problems.
I put it in the bouquet like this:

#SERVICE 4097:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:mms%3a//212.200.191.94/pink?ctrl=5i3MC0vKfVKWVKZSF9IACYGQt9grwXML0XO5A0MZUNeERC7o5AvWAA%3d%3d:pink

Xtrend plays wmv streams just fine.

Anyone knows how to convert the streams below into a format suitable for viewing from bouqets?

rtmp://$OPT:rtmp-raw=rtmp://fmsod.rte.ie/live/rte1 swfUrl=http://www.rte.ie/player/assets/player_454.swf pageUrl=http://http://www.rte.ie/player/#l=7 swfVfy=true live=true timeout=10er
rtmp://$OPT:rtmp-raw=rtmp://fmsod.rte.ie/live/rte2 swfUrl=http://www.rte.ie/player/assets/player_454.swf pageUrl=http://http://www.rte.ie/player/#l=7 swfVfy=true live=true

both streams work fine with the Simple TV Player on my PC

Probably not defining al those PIDs, by just making them 0??

hello

Each ident of all channels is ok with details (for exemple : 4097:0:1:134:3E1C:13F:820000:0:0:0:)

Only the first 4097 or 1 is important in this case.

I think to adapt rytec.channels.xml but I don't find it in Enigma2...

I done alot of experiments regarding EPG and IPTV channels. You can find SID for every channel using TSReader Lite. Problem is that some channels have same SID and therefore this method is useless. At least in my case it was.
Check my other posts in this thread in particular post n.73.

EPG is deffo possible, but not on all channels (SID problem).

Hi all,
Has anyone experimented more on this? I am also tyring to make this work on my dm800hd, using newnigma2 image with crossEpg plugin.

I tryed openPli image first, but the the zapping between iptv channels takes too long. And there was no epg on the 4097 serviceref types.

What I have dones is use servicereftype 1, and not 4097 (newnigma2 image supports all streams on servicetyperef 1). Also using the correct servicereferance of the channel from lame.db
Then I used crossEpg to download epg for the "normal" channels :)
Doing just this, does not give any epg on the iptv channels.

Then I used something calles "Aliases" in the crossEPG plugin, which maps epg from a serviceref to channel names, no mater the provider. (http://code.google.c...ki/ALIAS_script)

After running the script I get epg on IPTV channels, but only when I open the channel. They are not shown in the channels list, don't uderstand why. But, the epg is shown in webinterface channel list.

Does anyone know how we can force the epg to be shown in the channel list? It is there, just need to get it :)

Hi,
I want to add paid iptv services (with dynamic stream url) to bouqets on openpli image. I've done this already on dmm image and it works ok. My solution is plugin that redirects requests like http://127.0.0.1/3 to url for channel id 4. It is based on reactor.listenTCP().
I tried to tweak openpli to get this working.
First I've add support of redirecting to eHTTPStream.. But there is another problem eHTTPStream is blocking reactor main loop while reading from socket. So enigma hangs up at this stage and twisted process request after the read() exited due to timeout.. I've tried to solve this problem by moving eHTTPStream:open to separate thread and it solved this block, but there is another place where enigma blocks, findPMT() function.
How do you think what could be propriety solution?

Hello pybear,

There's bound to be a lot of things e2 is doing from its main thread (which is the reactor contexts).
So instead of moving all of those blocking operations to different threads, perhaps it's easier to run your redirector from a different reactor?

I start thinking about it too, but I don't know how to create new reactor with twisted. I used to deal with threads, but in enigma it is better to use twisted I think.

Does it have to be an e2 plugin?
If you just start it as an external python script, you can create your own reactor.

If I use gstreamer (4097 in bouquets) it works ok but I want possibility of recording and timeshift.
Also threading httpopen could reduce spinners if url is not available and allows user to switch channel earlier. I don't want to use external python script because I need some interaction with user, (to know about login/password changes)

but I want possibility of recording and timeshift.

As far I understand this is not possible at all... or at least the drivers should be enabled to allow it...
The only option what could be done is buffering a stream to a (fifo) file and then play that file via gstreamer.

And indeed when a stream could not start for some reason it might be very helpfull not to block E2 completely so you get spinners and so on....

Hopefully we can see some results from your "tweaks"?

I will send you patches if I manage to improve something. Currently I don't what to do with findPMT function, I am afraid that there is something not thread safe there..
