I installed it on vu+ duo open pli Dec 18 2011, wired LAN and this is the result:

- photo airplay works fine
- video doesn't work: "play" and "pause" icons blinking in turn very quickly on TV without showing any video
- mirroring : does not work

Any help appriciated what to do to make it work for video. Thanks guys

Airplayer is working with Youtube on my iPad 1 and 2 + iPhone.
These are the settings in the plugin I use:

Startup type: No
Interface: eth0
Service name: Airplayer E2
Set Buffer size: No
Buffer Size: unchanged...
Path: /hdd/
Buffer control: No
Set start Position: Yes
Use Quicktime Useragent: Yes

yeah, I am trying different setup too, lookslike buffer is problem here too.

It works now, but after few videos plated vu ends up frozen, only hard reset solve it , so the plugin is unusable at the moment.

Another little bug:
When i active the plugin with yellow button the cc**m don't work. After have stopped with blue button the cc**m return to work:-((

Tested this, but it seems to need opkg install python-shell. Installed the python-shell, but then I needed a file called plistlib.

Ok, so I found it here:

But now the box crash when I push the menu button on the remote??
Have also tried to download python-misc but with the same result... the box crashes

Thank you Pedro, but it still don't work.
Installation went fine, but as soon as I try to enter the main menu, the box (Vu+Solo) crash - green screen

When I remove the plistlib.pyo/py file(s) under /usr/lib/python2.6 I can access the menu as normal again.
But then the Airplayer plugin is "missing" again in the pluginmenu, and I get the error message "No module named plistlib"...

So I am back to square one...
Any more tips in this case??

I installed the plugin from scratch without a problem, all I can say is that it's working on a VU+ Duo.
In the Dutch forum there's also an user with these problems, it looks like the mediaplayer is causing problems but I'm not sure.

Ok, I don't have any other plugin installed other than the plugins pr-installed with the OpenPLi-2.1 beta and Cccam.
The box was flashed yesterday, and updated today.

I have got the Airplayer 0.1.6 to work earlier, but after some time (with almost daily Openpli updates) the problem accessing the menu started.
Hopefully someone can figure this out...

I just upgraded to the 0.1.7a... I hope this one does not crash anymore as plugin try to ask for usageconfig keys.... De crash happens as soon the mediaplayer tests if it should appear on the mainmenu... during this line in the Mediaplayer plugin... Until know I do not see any reason why airplayer plugin steals to get this key...?

I also just saw that airplayer plugin was completely edited in a DOS editor..... Grwskkf!@@##... Full of ^M.... And for some reason it steels config stuff...

In line 49 of the airplayer plugin.py the following happens...
config.mediaplayer = ConfigSubsection()

This steels the ConfigSubsection for the following configs

config.mediaplayer.useAlternateUserAgent = ConfigYesNo(default=False)
config.mediaplayer.alternateUserAgent = ConfigText(default="")

This is something the creators of the Airplayer plugin in fact should not do... They had to keep the configs from mediaplayer alone and use their own configs like
config.plugins.airplayer.xxxxxx

Please notify the creators of the airplayer plugin or someone else need to change this in the 3rd party plugin...

This might also clarify some complains were the menu button in the MediaPlayer is not working anymore (probably on older OpenPli releases).

How to install 0.1.7_ version over existing 0.1.6 in Vu+ duo (using latest openpli with bootloader 3.00) ?

there are two files

(enigma2-plugin-extensions-airplayer_0.1.7_sh4.ipk
enigma2-plugin-extensions-airplayer_0.1.7_mipsel.ipk)

Neither one of them, just use the on as mentioned in post #32 in this thread. However be careful, this version messes around with your mediaplayer settings and can cause green screens.
Littlesat pointed the developers of this plugin to this problem, so it could be that there will be a corrected one.

I found the sources from airplayer plugin here: http://code.google.c.../source/browse/ but no evidence there as far I can see know that the steal the configsettings of the MediaPlayer.... But still I cannot find any reason why it crashes the Menu based on a MediaPlayer config...
