They are the first Open Project started destroying and eventually will not even exist as such, DMM will ruin everything!

You can run this in your openpli3 directory:
git clone git://openpli.git.sourceforge.net/gitroot/openpli/openpli-oe-core .

then change machine and then: make -f Makefile image

Just one question, which bitbake branch do they use ? in 2.1 we use 1.12 but i gues it will be a higher branch for 3.0

Yes you are right, But this new boxs does not have images of many teams as like Dreambox

1. That's just a question of time
2. Why do you need other images, since OpenPLi is the best of all (I guess that's why you're using it yourself, isn't it)?
I'm using exclusively OpenPLi since DM600 ages, and I was always satisfied with performance and stability. That cannot be said about most of other "teams"...

True, I am also my best images from my old box DM500s pli team image and domica also, Because they are the fastest at all. But sometimes like to try other images and this is the nature of human beings to discover. If there are many Team support your box to be better, even if the support team stopped going to the other team. The example here and there is no image openpli 3.0 for DM800 devices. Because it basically stops DMM's develop of new Drivers.

Still system freezes (dm8000, OpenPLi-3.0-dm8000-20120530)

This BIG problem persists. It's a known problem for DMM see here and here, but perhaps PLi-Team can solve the problem in his own way?

Hi there,


I just tried last nights build on my vu+ ultimo and managed to install it fine. But, unable to install Any Plugins at all from the plugins pannel, w get error all the time. it looks like it cannot to open pli plugin server ??

went back to open pli 2.1 and everything works fine..

installed open pli 3.0 28.5.12.
i dont know how to get cccam working. i got an w get error all the time.
now i installed it manually and added a file in the init.d directory.

now it shows up but i can not start it

Just a small suggestion, when compilation is done after the summary:

Summary: There were 91 WARNING messages shown.

Would be nice to mention where end-user can find the resulting image. This can be helpful, especially for new "compilers".

There is no 3.2 kernel for the DM800 because it is running much slower than with 2.6.18

Lame excuse. Running "slower" is of little importance, the CPU load rarely exceeds 1% anyway. "Slower" is way better than "not at all".

Downloading manually 4 providers (Fra, Ger, Ita, Pol) freeze the system. Please check it.

after todays build:

-some mkv files do stutter (audio only and btw this mkv files are only 200mB large, they are msd rips and they were working on 2.1)
-some (4097) htttp non ts service with mpeg soundtrack take a lot of time to start reproducing audio or they just dont reproduce any, this channels were working well in 2.1
-mytube and webmedia fail instalations because of their depedences of gst-plugin-flv
-timezones dont work (this may be allready fixed as pieterg explained)
-openwebif screenshots dont show up on the webif but they are being made to /tmp
