Hello all!
Why is the plugin enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-wirelessaccesspoint not available on OpenPLi?
This plugin uses hostapd to turn a USB wireless adapter into an Access Point. It also configures a bridge between eth0 and the wireless adaptor.
I found some of the changes needed on vuplus_openembedded GIT repository:

Do you have an ipk that is working... then I'm able to put it on our feeds as 3rd party....

FYI: that's not enough, it would also require the kernel ( s ) to be rebuild with CONFIG_BRIDGE and some other stuff set to yes.

I haven't found the .ipk yet. Is it possible to work with you developers, to add this functionality to standard OpenPLi?

Yes you can, although it won't help 
Not every hardware's drivers support access point functionality.

that still wont do it? Every other image have a wireless access point plugin but my favorite hasnt yet

If it were only a plugin, they could put it in e2openplugins, but access point functionality needs

Nothing is impossible. It's more a question if a developer thinks it's essential to have and spend time on it... As supporting ap functionality depends on the hardware, it may need work for every single receiver we support.
Why don't you just buy an access point for 20 dollars?

Since the solo2 is capable of it and i already have a usb access point, no need to buy an access point 
And its more geeky and cool to use the solo2 as an access point, its one of those things
