Ok installed 3.0, almost everything works, but major think doesnt. Downloaded Mgcamd from plugins menu. Pasted newcamd.list to keys folder. I got timings to server, but black screen, any solution? What should i change in Mgcamd's setup to make it work on 3.0

take a look at mg_cfg - i suppose boxtype is set to automatic in your config (06 required)

# box type
# 00 autodetect, change only if you think wrong type detected.
# 01 dbox2
# 02 dreambox
# 03 triple-dragon
# 04 relook
# 05 openbox
# 06 dreambox/mips
# 08 stapi/kathrein
# 09 stapi/ipbox
# 10 stapi/openbox
# 11 enigma/ipbox
# 12 octagon
B: { 06 }

edit: opkg install libcrypto-compat (if no libcrypto.so.0.9.7 available in /usr/lib dir)

I have flashed my box to the 3.3.2 and I also have problem with mgcamd too.... I can't make it to work :-( I downloaded the mgdcam 1.35a form the plugins menu. I have also tried it with tspanel but it wont work either....
I have re flashed it many times with dif version the "3" pli... nothing help. Flashing it with other image it works perfectly.... :-( I have not used the previous version of open pli this is the first one and I like it so much.
My box is an DM500HD.

Fresh Pli 3.0 on vu solo.
There is no ecm info at the bottom of the skin.
Also no CA info at the top (all CA systems remains yellow)

Problem also occurs with default pli hd skin.

GetEcmInfo for mgcamd is broken since 20th Jan. (partial rewrite)

Reason: different calculation concering responsetime needed for mgcamd compared to cccam - there is no ECM: in ECM.info file done by mgcamd, just 'timevalue' msec (take a look at mgcamd section)

You lost me a bit in that explanation here. As far as I can see, the code just added functionality.
Or do you mean that mgcamd just writes a single line into the ecm.info file with no field definition, just a plain time value?

exactly, code for it is still there but due to adding 'getEcmData' got ignored atm

ecm.info:

system: Viaccess
caid: 0x0500
pid: 0x02d9
prov: 040810
cw0: 56 56 56 56 56 56 56 56
cw1: 56 56 56 56 56 56 56 56
Signature OK
source: net (newcamd at 192.168.256.256:25656)
356 msec -- Wed Jan 30 17:26:17 2013

btw. please change time = " ?" to time = " " - in emumode mgcamd creates just an empty ecm.info

Today I started migrating from OpenPLi 2.1 to OpenPLi 3.0. The main reason is that I hope to get more functionality in 'Dreamote' (IPAD app) in combination with newest version of OpenWebif. Concrete I want to be able to control AutoTimer and EPGRefresh plugins from Ipad/dreamote.

Thanks to plugin 'AutoBackup' migrating if the most settings was no problem. I even did not need a satelitte scan. However I have problems with provided mgcamd version. Currently I get no picture when running encrypted channels.. According to logs decuryption is fine but no picture. I will now downgrade to OpenPLi 2.1 to have picture bacl (circumvent family problems :-)... After above fix is online I will reflash 3.0 and try again (assuming my "no picture problem) has something to do with what reported ba Bernado and fixed by BluGless)

Reflashed 3.0 - still no picture but I found the solution: AutoBackup does not migrate contents of usr/keys --> some settings wrong in mg_cfg due to standard config
(e.g. "box type" autodetection does not work it should be set to to 06)

You can add /usr/keys to /etc/backup.cfg.
By default AutoBackup doesn't backup any keys etc.
You can add extra files or directories, one per line.

Maybe it`s disabled in expert settings? See your menu to confirm.
