Are you replying to my question regarding a vuduo? or the previous question about the Xtrend?

OpenPLi 4.0 is absolutely stable, no problems for me.

3.0 and 4.0 run the same codebase, only the openembedded environment differs.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Hello everyone.

I have problem using VLC plugin to stream files.

I can see my computer files via plugin, but when I start playing them, Vu duo just showing blank screen, without audio.

It's not my firewall problem.

any idea?

thanks

hello,

in the download there is only OpenPLi 2.1 for dm800, while on sat-universe there is OpenPLi 3.0 why?

According to http://openpli.org/f...rs#entry395430, there were new drivers released for a DM800 yesterday.

If that is true, and if those drivers are for a 3.x kernel instead of the old 2.x kernel of the DM800, then it is possible that someone has compiled an OpenPLi 3 image for it.

But I have to see that first...

Eh, no.

According to http://git.opendream...e1ffbcc08e13dc, they are still 2.6.18 kernel drivers, so OpenPLi 3 for the DM800 is still not possible. That image is a fake.

You can build Openpli 3.0 with 2.6.x Kernel like OpenAtv does + the 800hd 2.6 drivers.

The pli-3.0 image Berem did see on sat-u is for clones, but he can flash it on his box if he flashes a org ssl after the image without rebooting so it overwrites the clone-ssl.

But its not made by Pli, that doesnt mean its a faker :)

But then it's not really OpenPLi 3.0, is it? It's OpenPLi 2.1 with a more recent Enigma.

Actually at satdreamgr forum we make this happen, we took patches from OE-A, integrate them with OpenPLi 3.0 OE and dm800 OpenPLi 3.0 (based) was born.

Then we release patches and those adapted immediately by dreamoem forum (sim clones).

Since then we made some changes in v4l (depents in usb sticks), send patches to OE-A (support more usb stick) and solve minor issues.

So its not only Enigma its also a fresh OE, with newer gstreamer and of course python 2.7!

It seems OE-A accepts to dirt their OE with the v4l patch (and possibly more patches) to make this happen. We decided not and keep OpenPLi 3.0 and OpenPLi 4 clean.\

For only the DMM800HD we do not want to dirt our OE....

You can call it "dirt" but fact is Pli 3.0 on the dm800hd runs very smooth and is far more responsive and faster then the old 2.1 you still build :)

Good that the Real Pli is not dirty with patches and fixes :)

As stated before, a brand has to support OpenPLi

on the Glassfibre 1GB DVB-C...

This means DMM must made a driver on a new kernel... so the not required patches I described as dirt are not required....

And more brands do support us. Beside ET you possibly meant also XP is delivering us proper patches. And also VU did... But I suggest that they stuggle a bit to support OpenPLu as their manufacturer images are based on their own fork.
