Preferably in the ipk package.

It turns out that the old version gstreamer worked much better.
I have received many complaints from users that playing media files works much better for PLi 2.1, than PLi 3.0.
Do not you find it strange?

We now.... but inbetween there are already newer versions of gstreamer which is preferable...

and as this only happens very rarely with some MKVs I suggest it is not really an extreme big issue..... probably some other types of MKVs break with the older version....

I would not say that this happens very rarely and only with mkv.
Members recorded concerts /movies with DTS sound, and now they can not lose on PLi 3.0.
How do they explain why?

Here no problems with DTS.... and when you need downmix a restart of enigma2 via the shutdown menu might help as this clears also the gstreamer cache...

It depends of the nature of the DTS, as mentioned in lots of other threads.

update the gstreamer recipes in the meta-openpli layer, and make them build (they'd need a couple of patches, and configure options have to be checked, in order to avoid requiring large dependencies)

Im also have many movies in MKV which playing with linux version 3.1.0, but not playing with more recent linux version. Also with 3.6.0 not playing . Please help.

I do not understand why, with each new version of the firmware is worse, perhaps the media player.
Ask the team OpenPli, correct any errors in playing MKV files.

It is not the linux version that creates the issue. but gstreamer

Yes, of course, nothing to do with Linux, just need you to change the version of GStreamer, a more functional.
