what kind of automatic spelling correction do you use?
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)
Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.
Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

Well, sorry, and I don't mean to be rude but in my world I cannot see why anyone would have to contact VU because there is a problem with your image? If you mean VTI or so then it is because they are building on vu images... That the nummers of the rc are not working is due to some anomale by vu. All other boxes do not have an issue with that with our common enigma2. As we should avoid ugly work a ronds in e2 souch like if vuduo2 then do..... Vu needs to adapt this. Indeed it is strangulatie that numbers are working with zaling and not in the configuraton menu. Hopefully the fix is keymap related or so...
The plugins and keys work perfectly in their image and at least in vti.
If you are not willing to fix problems I would expect not releasing your image for a product you don't support.
Don't get me wrong, I really love PLI and wouldn't trade it for anything but your attitude leave me puzzled....
Just my 2 Cts.

The problem is that when every manufacturer would require their own specific workarounds in our generic Enigma image, this would quickly become problematic and demand a lot of our time to keep all the exceptions synchronised and working. We also don't have the interest or manpower to maintain different Enigma builds for different manufacturers, because our goal is to provide a single generic image, not to be a compatibility-layer for every conceivable manufacturer out there (and there are many others besides Vu ofcourse). So the only option is for manufacturers to make sure their hardware works with our generic build. If they choose not to invest in compatibility that is totally fine, but then we may not be able to fully support their boxes in our builds. The reason why we released a Solo2 image in the current state is because we believe that although it is still lacking, it is at least functional enough for most day to day tasks.

I couldn't agree more, and I appreciate that, really. The reason why we released a Solo2 image in the current state is because we believe that although it is still lacking, it is at least functional enough for most day to day tasks.
What I cannot understand is, that how can keys that work everywhere suddenly stop working, when a data field of type "virtual keyboard" is entered and even so, how can that be the fault of the manufacturer. If it has something to do with some sort of keyboard driver I really don't understand the underlying structure.
Please could you enlighten me?
Thanks

It works on all other boxes so it cannot been an enigma problem right? So than the assumption is that it must been a fault of manufacture.

The number keys work everywhere, but not in the setup screens of some plugins, when the virtual keyboard ist used. e.g. for passwords, ip-addresses and host names.
I'm getting a bit confused about the numbers not working on the Remote Control.
How can one configure the sats and get a picture if one can't use the numbers to enter the necessary info?
Thanks for info.
Cheers

My friend.
I downloaded the Image from this Forum.
For me numeric values do not work.
So how can I even set up the Sat Config?
Will be glad if you explain.
Maybe you will solve my problem.

Sorry, I cannot tell. I did the same thing and the Number Keys did work - except inside some plugins setup dialogs.I downloaded the Image from this Forum.

I started with the first image and updated the box from there. (2013-01-15)
Maybe initially using a newer image breaks something?
Hope this helps

P.S. In initially installed a vti image. Maybe that did something too? At least the bootlogo was vti even after flashing the PLI.

That would mean, that enigma is binary identical on all boxes. I doubt that very much. I think nobody can tell until he really analyzes the problem. It works on all other boxes so it cannot been an enigma problem right? So than the assumption is that it must been a fault of manufacture.

Why would you doubt that?
Do you think they make special enigma2 versions for each model?
Enigma2 is opensource so you can check it by yourself and see it's identical and the main difference will been the machine config which inform the features which can been handled by the box.
The changes will been in kernel release version and drivers of the manufacture which are both coming from VU.
