Q1: how to make autorun bbc_pmt_v4.py script every time during startup?

Use all the 3 files supplied by doublet.

Where exactly should I upload them via FTP? They are now in /usr/bin. I changed bbc_pmt_starter.sh (long and demux0). I tried also in init.d directory but it helped not at all.

Q2: how to do it so that bbc_pmt_v4.py starts before the mgcamd138c starts? (I get it cleared only when I connect with telnet and every time I have to start bbd_pmt_v4.py manually and after that I have to again start mgcamd138c despite it is already running at startup by VTi)

If you use the 3 files above, you should be all right.

Okay, this is very generally described, could you please be more specific?

Q3: how to edit /etc/enigma2/lamedb so that I don't loose all channels and satellites (I've got DM3800S USALS motorized 140 cm offset Gibertini system)? I tried to edit it, but I loose everything?

Use Notepad2 or Notepad++, not Notepad, and use telnet for that:

- init 4 command

- now edit lamedb using your FTP client

- init 3 command

I tried to edit in it my TextEdit (I use MacBook Air 2013). Now channels remained, but the sound in HD channels isn't working, lamedb records were overwritten by receiver inpite of f:4 setting in channels (init 4, edit lamedb, init 3 and after restart again no sound on HD channels and lamedb record overwritten):

4440:0cfdace7:1000:0001:25:0

BBC Two HD
p:BBC,c:0017d5,c:0317d5,c:050001,C:2600,f:4 - there was c:1217d5 before init 3 and restart.

Q4: Is PLi better than VTi? I never tried it so far.

I think you can only get HD sound with c:12 entries on OpenPLi. Overall, I don't know if OpenPLi is better because I have never tried VTi.

I will try it later.

Sound advice there Robinson but pepino you're only half way there. As long as you insist using mgcamd and the VTI image on your solo2you won't have a chance clearing the HD channels HE-AAC audio but only the SD ones with both picture and sound as you've already got.

As we all have already told you, you need oscam-ymod and openpli image in your box. Failing this, just forget it. Until you've got these two prerequisite and mandatory items installed in your box you can call it a day. Been there, done that myself ....

Okay kota, I just flashed OpenPLi image and now nothing works at all.

How should I install dvbsnoop in OpenPLi? (its a .tar.gz file and no way to install it via GUI and with telnet opkg install isn't working)

How should I install oscam ymod in OpenPLi? (its a .tar.gz file and no way to install it via GUI and with telnet opkg install isn't working)

How to install bbd_pmt_v4.py running automatically at startup in OpenPLi? the .sh files are not working with many errors

And default cccam in OpenPLi doesn't work with emu keys from constant.cw nor SoftCam.Key

GUI in OpenPLi doesn't make possible to install .ipk (is there and writes that it has installed but no files added to /usr/bin at all) and .tar.gz files not at all in menu.

@pepino

You need to customize bbc_pmt_starter.sh for non dreambox receiver. Change parameters to the ones you worked for you when you ran the script manually. -t long -d /dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0 should be okay for non dreambox receivers and OpenPLI.

scriptName="bbc_pmt_v4.py -t short -d /dev/dvb/adapter0/demux3"

Don't forget to change rights of the files to be executable (e.g. chmod 755 bbc_pmt_starter.sh).

Yes, /usr/bin is the right place for all 3 files.

In general, it is always good to test the script bbc_pmt_v4.py when starting manually from command line and only then to copy *sh files which allow automatic startup.

Order of startup (script, CAM or CAM, script) doesn't really matter if your are using automatic startup scripts - both shall be (re)started at E2 startup.

I'm using oscam_ymod, mgcamd is reported to be working as well, I don't have info about other CAMs.

I'm not using OpenPLI, but I'm sure OpenPLI specific info can be found somewhere at openpli.org.

GUI in OpenPLi doesn't make possible to install .ipk (is there and writes that it has installed but no files added to /usr/bin at all) and .tar.gz files not at all in menu.

You can't clear any of the channels on 27.5ºW with openpli using mgcamd. However with the right softcam.key you can clear the other biss channels namely Fox Sports HD on Hispasat. So start with that just to check your k*ys are OK.

The first thing you need to do is to install dvbsnoop. Just telnet opkg update dvbsnoop as bentacentauri said and that's it.

You shouldn't install oscam-ymod via ipk. Stop all cams and manually send the files to the right places.

/usr/bin/oscam_ymod (with attributes 755)

/etc/init.d/softcam.OSCam-ymod (with attributes 755)

/etc/tuxbox/config/oscam-ymod/*files (subfolder oscam-ymod has 755 rights, files in folder have 644 rights)

(special thanks to andres66 for this)

Once the cam is properly installed and working, follow doublet instructions as well. FTP his THREE files to the usr/bin directory and change attributes on each one to 775 afterwards. Use first the manual command and telnet bbc_pmt_v4.py -t long -d /dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0 to check it's working and just ignore the error.
If the channels clear, simply edit the bbc_pmt_starter.sh with the long command above for automatically zapping.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

Just a minor correction - since encryption/cam chat is not allow here I will mention the the name again but your first sentence of your post is incorrect. It will work in conjunction with instructions in this post.

Sorry for breaking the rules. But not on a vu+solo2 it won´t ... on different images such as BH or VIX sure it will

thank you guys. everything is running, all channels cleared with sound also HD. Just one problem remained unsolved - I have to start bbc_pmt_v4.py every time manually after receiver restart. I copied bbc_pmt_starter.sh both into /etc/init.d and /usr/bin folders both with 755 attributes. The script inside itself I have edited and changed the -t long and -d demux0 parameters. It will not start automatically. What am I here doing wrong?

You are supposed to copy to /usr/bin the following 3 files:

bbc_pmt_starter.sh

bbc_pmt_v4.py

enigma2_pre_start.sh

They were all attached here in this thread by doublet.

ET9000, OpenPLi 4.0, 13E, 19E

HD51, OpenPLi 6.2, 75E - 30W

They are there, but the script isn't starting automatically. No picture and sound until I start the script manually with telnet.

did you remove them  from where you wrongly placed them before ??? Did you set the attributes to 755 ??

This is how your edited bbc_pmt_starter.sh file should look like.

#!/bin/sh

scriptName="bbc_pmt_v4.py -t long -d /dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0"
logName=/dev/null
#logName=/tmp/bbc_pmt.log

while [ 1 ]
do
	echo "=== starting $scriptName" >> $logName
	$scriptPath/$scriptName >> $logName 2>&1
	echo "=== $scriptName exited..." >> $logName
done

Hello

I read all topic but i have some questions

I have DM 7020HD with latest experimental + GP3

I run cam oscam ymod. I tried other channels like FOX HD from 30W or ORF from 19E and my cam opens it, so i think i have good cam and keys.

As i understand i have to:

Copy all 3 files to usr/bin directory, give them 755 rights and restart my box.

That's all?

I have scan tp. with BBc on 27,5 and my receiver get this channels. Do I have to edit my settings or not?

When i did everything like i write here i have no pictures on 27W

When i run telnet and manually this script i got message:

root@dm7020hd:~# bbc_pmt_v3.py -t short -d /dev/dvb/adapter0/demux3

Hi, I can't get past by the "PMT timeout" message. I'm using OpenPli 2.1 on Dreambox 800 (NOT "800se") as I could not find OpenPli 3.0 or 4.0 for DM800. I tried several scripts published here, but none of them worked. I tried -long and -short version as well. The Dreambox either freezes, or the Telnet gives the Error 145. Has anybody tried and succeeded on OpenPli 2.1? Alternatively, shall I try different image (like Newnigma, etc?)

I tried with different oscam.keys and it works! I had PMT timeout message too and with correct oscam.keys it works.

If You are using DM800 look at your DVB-S tuner because only BCM4505 form DM 800se works with High SR on 27W. Standard tuner from DM 800 doesn't work with High SR

My tuner is not the one you mention, but it has saved all the channels from the BBC transponder, so I guess it should work. I heard, that the other DM800 tuners don't even find and store the channels.

As for the cam, I tried it only with mgcamd, I haven't worked out how to instal oscam ymod properly. It's not in the feed, I downloaded two different versions of oscam ymod from the internet, but I have no idea which one I should install and how to do it. I've got oscam-ymodv18-t49-sh4 and e2-oscam-ymodv18-t50. Any idea? Thanks
