So I understand you have the same picture on all three?
That is correct.

Hi doublet,
Great to have you back!
To add more contol, I've made new version of script which doesn't check whether PMT is broadcast in clear.
And it will not have any bad cosequences when PMT is one day indeed clear?

Can you please specify all PID's etc. for both these services?
I believe there used to be something called 303 too. Does it work?
I'm curious because this site does not specify and PID values for 302: http://pl.kingofsat.net/pos-27.5W.php

301 is working with picture and sound. 302 did nothing. No picture, no sound. I think I have a problem with lamedb or the key file.

Guys,
sorry for not being here, I was too busy with other things and on my setup (DMM E2 with script in short mode) all is working stable.
Timeout mentioned in previous posts is used as argument to dvbsnoop to tell him how long he has to wait for particular section.
After zap is done, we are waiting for PAT section to obtain PMT PID number. When PAT is received, we try to receive PMT section to know whether PMT is scrambled or not. Reason for this is the fact, that in the past there were time periods when PMT was broadcast in clear.
To add more contol, I've made new version of script which doesn't check whether PMT is broadcast in clear. So you will never see that "timeout" in script's output, which was always seen and which indicated that PMT is scrambled. To have original behavior (i.e. check for PMT broadcast in clear), add -c option to command line.
To play with different timeout values, I've added -s option followed by timeout (in ms).
So to start script with PMT check (old behavior) and timeout of 100 ms in long mode:
bbc_pmt_v6.py -t long -d /dev/dvb/adapter0/demux3 -c -s 100Adapt scriptName line in bbc_pmt_starter.sh according your needs.
Hi Doublet,
thanks to be back.
I see my idea with the value from timeout was correct.

Hi Robinson,
I don't know. We'll see. I started to develop the script once they start to scramble PMT last time, so I had no chance to test it with clear PMT. However, there is -c option to have old behavior.... or script can be removed completely because it is not needed with PMT broadcast in clear.

Hi v12nut, there is no point in making artificial copies of the same channel. In this way, you can have 20 x ITV1 but what for? With these settings you will never get different channels on 301, 302, Red Button - always identical picture and sound.
By the way, I assume there is no schedule (TV guide) for the Red Button as watched at 27.5W?

Hi Robinson,
Firstly, I did not 'artificialy' create these, as Micky said there are different sound values. I think this is how its supposed to be.
Usually, the BBC offers one stream on the red button, but can on occasion increase the number of available streams for special events, such as the Olympics, this may further clarify matters http://www.bbc.co.uk...301and302.shtml

Ah, ok. It's for other streams. How did they manage it to send 3 different films on 3 channels with the same values? Except for the sound.

Not possible. It must be a mistake, ie. this mux has only one Red Button channel or the video PID's are wrong.
By the way, where are those different audio PID's?
As far as I understand v12nut's post, both video and audio PID's are identical. It is just SID's that are different.

Ive got problems with automatic settings updater overwriting Lamedb then I have to manually update Lamedb to get 27.5 back. Is there any script available that can be run which updates Lame DB with values for 27.5w. I understand the logic needed but I've never done any scripting needed for this - a bit of lite VBA here and there in XL which is far from whats needed.

Works for me too on a Gigablue Quad.
Also setting up a new Octagon SF8 which is very similar to the XP1000 but having to trawl through all the mode and demux combinations to see which works.
Anyone able to tell me the mode and demux would save me quite a bit of time.
You can see these channels with this Octagon?

this would be great,
updating settings does indeed upset lamedb file
