for me, on et9500 subtitles appear at 20th second, however when I rewind they appear from the very beginning
(that's probably because of some timestamp missing in such a short sample /?/)

OK, so you can select them using SUBTITLE key?

Well, I can't. As if my box did not see them at all and our boxes are the same family. Strange.

actually I select subtitles with yellow > yellow, since et9500 RC has no dedicated 'subtitle' key...

OK, but for this particular TS file I cannot select subtitles with either of these 2 methods.

My ET9000 behaves as if there were no subtitles in this file.

Hello,

I can now confirm 27.5W channels work without doublet's script on SatDreamGR image.

Thank you very much to all the involved in making this possible. ;)

I can only hope the same solution can be accepted by OpenPLi.

The only issue is that subtitles on recordings can't be selected unless *.meta file is removed.

What means work without doublet's script on SatDreamGR image  the patch that were to be inserted works? what should be done? we can ask to dream multimedia developers to insert the code on enigma2.

The new code, which is part of enigma2 of SatDreamGR image, does not require the script any more. Try the latest SatDreamGR experimental image and see for yourself.

You only need to specify PMT PID in lamedb (c:16XXXX).

This is how it works in SatDreamGR image. I hope the same patch can be used for OpenPLi images.

Robinson: Do you see an advantage when the script functionality is part of the image?

Script uses OpenWebIF. If this is now an internal e2 process it has to be better.

yes, i know. Say: it is a more elegant way to integrate the functionality into the image. But beside of this is there an effort for the user (speed up or so)?

Just a handful of advantages I can think of:

- channels open immediately

- channels can be recorded in standby

- channels can be streamed, also in standby

- subtitles are visible for streamed material as well as for recordings (with the small issue I indicated above caused by *.meta file.

Thanks Robinson, these are very good reasons to try that image. Hopefully OpenPli would include those extensions.

There is one more advantage.

We no longer need A: entries in oscam.dvbapi file.

27.5W channels work without them.

Does anyone know if it is likely that OpenPli will implement this in their images?

No, there are no plans for support for new DMM models, and the current models are only supported as long as we can.

Which means that as things stand there will be no OpenPLi 5 for the 800SE, because that image doesn't build anymore. the 8000 still does.

As to implementation, that depends on how illegal we think this is.

These channels are BISS encrypted, and can only be watched with these kind of "hacks", and an illegal BISS key. They are not broadcasted for consumers. In that light, I personally think chances are small.

It is predominantly about adding PMT PID to lamedb.

Hope this can be done.

Nothing illegal is done... I think this piece of code can be safely added. Users still need to adopt their channelsetting list and provide the correct keys.

Same as any softcam. Without a valid card nothing is decoded.

But its not up to me to decide ;)
