I am trying to clear BBC with the new Octagon SF4008 (ARM controller).with mgcamd

So far no success:

Image HDF and scripts (all possible parameters tried) --> negative

Image SDG with and without scripts (all possible parameters tried) --> negative

Has someone any idea?

Use oscam-emu, include C:2600 and flag f:400 with SDG. (No script)

Edit1. Use correct lamedb, with pmtpid.

thanks athoik, i will try it in the evening. Flag f:400 is new for me. Got confirmation yesterday that you included the "script code" also in the SF4008 image - great - i will report.

Since a couple of days i got got experience with the SDG on ET9000.
By the way: what is the pid-marshalling for SF4008 image, that dreamboxedit wants to know: "Dreambox" or "Pli"?

What is your experience with SDG on ET9000? Do you clear BBC package? If so, then I don't know why you can't clear on Octagon SF4008 if you use the same channel list.

By the way, I think PID's have to be Pli-type, not Dreambox-type, for SDG.

Hello Robinson,

adding the lamedb entries will be the next experiment. I changed to SDG a couple of days ago on my ET9000.

I easily installed the image, emulator, wrote my channel settings via sreamboxedit and could watch bbc.

Sometimes i thought that the different processor architecture could be an obstacle (endianess or so..)

In that case I will not be able to help. I do not have an Octagon.

Just like you, I can only confirm BBC without doublet's script to be working on ET9000. No other boxes for me to experiment on.

At last i succeeded with BBC on SF4008.

The reason is a hardware malfunction of TUner A.

What happened:

I wrote my settings from the ET9000 into the Octagon.

I only used Tuner A. It showed me signal strength- ok.

Then i thought: ok, try to make a manuel scan - it failed.

I changed to Tuner B, made a manual search - it found all channels of the Transponder.

Setting the Pids, cryption flag and f:400 like athoik said: Clearance of BBC.

I used mgcamd - from ET9000 i know that oscam ymod is ok too. Thank you guys for support

Andreas

Hi,

Does it mean it is not possible to receive BBC on Tuner A? Is A theoretically the same as B? Or are these 2 different tuners?

Could that be a fault of your box or would it be a fault on all SF4008 boxes?

No Robinson, it does it not mean. I got feedback from the users - they are normally using Tuner A.

I got reception on tuner B with teh identical antenna cable. So i think it is a fault only of my box. I will report asap when getting the exchange one.

Hi BBC-Hörer,

Good to hear you succeeded!  :)  I have SF4008 too. Could you please upload the scripts you use? I know there are various versions out there and want to use something I know work.

Which image do you use? Did you use script AND edit lamedb (post 1246)? Thanks.

gammgubbe:
use the last script (version 6) you will found some pages back. Use "long" and "demux0"

I use the satdream greek image (based on OpenPli) that already includes the script functionality, meaning i do not need the script anymore.

There is no need to edit the lamedb. But you should put the PIDs and "C:2600" and "f:400" (mind upper/lower case writing) for every 27,5°W service like athoik already mentioned.

I have been on SDG recently so I would like to ask if OpenPLI implemented the script functionality in their images or is SDG the only image which has this functionality?

Thanks for confirming.

As far as I remember, with SDG image you do not need any A: entries in oscam. But if I find them, I will PM them to you tonight.
